You might know my name, but nobody knows my story and hopefully they never will. Hopefully, is what I say to myself. I need to use that word to protect myself from danger, from trusting people like him. I can't trust anyone in this world, and that's because of him. Will I ever be in love without worrying about my safety, and my secrets? I won't be safe until my death.

It was 7:55, and roll call was about to start. Lucy, and Celina just came out of the changing room. 'Looking good officer Juarez. How does it feel?' Lucy said, referring to her new short sleeves. Celina smiled. 'Oh, it feels so good just to let my arm breathe.' She let out a relieved sigh. 'Good, I'm glad. You deserve it.' Lucy responded. Together they walked towards the roll call room when they saw a new girl. 'Do we have a new rookie?' Celina asked. 'What?' Lucy was confused, not seeing the girl that was talking to Grey next to the door of the roll call room. Celina pointed at them.

'Oh, I don't know, but she is wearing long sleeves, and a tie.' She responded. 'I wonder who's going to train her, Nolan is already training me, so are we going to get a new officer too?' Celina thought out loud. Lucy thought about it until something shot to mind. 'Maybe Tim. He was my TO, and now he's back to being a sergeant, he can train a new rookie.' She explained. 'Oh, poor girl.' Celina said, laying the remorse thick on her voice. Lucy grinned. They both walked past Grey, and the new girl into the roll call, and sat down, waiting for Grey, and Tim to start. The new girl sat down next to Celina in the front row, but Celina didn't get the time to introduce herself, because Grey and Tim walked in. They immediately began explaining how that day was going to go.

'Good morning everyone.' Grey said, walking into the room with Tim behind him. He turned around, and took a stand in the front of the room. Tim turned towards the group too, and his eyes immediately went to Lucy. Lucy was always the first thing he looked at when she was in the room, but Lucy avoided eye contact just like always. He looked away again and this time Lucy started staring at him. She couldn't help it. The love, hate feelings she got because of Tim were making her crazy every day. 'So we got some new blood this morning. Officer Braun, stand up, and tell us who you are, please.' Grey continued, and the new girl did exactly that. Her curly, but frizzy, dark, red blonde hair, was neatly tied up in a bun at the back of her head. She turned around with a big smile on her face. She was cute. The freckles on her blushy nose, and cheeks fit perfectly with her nordic blue eyes.

'Hello, I'm officer Sara Braun. My badge number is 38638.' She turned back around to Grey. 'After six months together in the Academy, you've earned the right to be here. But you'll have to prove yourself to stay. The way we do things matters. Protocol, and tradition are the metal from which every cop in this city is forged. Understand?' He explained, just like he did with every new rookie that came through his doors. 'Yes, sir.' Sara answered. 'Good, sit down. Your TO will be officer Bradford, so good luck, you're going to need it.' Grey continued, joking as he looked over at Tim. Tim just looked offended. He opened his mouth a little as he opened his hand, gesturing something like "why was that for". He looked at Grey with a disappointed, and annoyed look. Everyone laughed except Lucy who could only stare at the girl in front of her. 'Okay, that's it for now. Get out there, and find some trouble.

Everyone started walking out, and Sara, and Celina stood up, and shook hands. 'Hi, I'm Celina Juarez, but can call me Celina. I'm also a rookie, it's nice to meet you.' Celina smiled. 'Nice to meet you too.' Sara said. Lucy walked up, and also shook Sara's hand, but before she could say anything, she heard someone shouting. 'Boot, get our war bags, and meet me at the shop. Hurry up.' She already knew who that was, and rolled her eyes. Sara on the other hand looked scared, terrified even. Lucy turned around, and gave Tim a death stare. For Tim, that message was loud and clear, so he quickly walked away. 'That's Bradford, right?' Sara asked, and Lucy turned back around. 'Yes, I wish you the best of luck. You're going to need it. I'm Lucy by the way.' Her voice sounded kind, and happy like always. They all started walking towards the kid room to get their stuff.

'Is he always like that?' Sara whispered to Lucy, and Celina who laughed. 'Sadly yes.' Celina responded. 'Especially to his rookies. He shouted a lot at me everytime I did something wrong.' Lucy added. 'You were his rookie too?' Sara asked, and Lucy nodded. 'Yes, first his rookie, then his goofer, after that she became his friend. From friends, they went to lovers and then he broke her heart.' Celina blurred out. Lucy rolled her eyes, already being annoyed by Celina's comments. She gave her a disappointed look and got a surprised look from Sara. 'Really?' She asked. 'Yes, Lucy loves bad boy's.' Celina answered before Lucy could. This wasn't something Lucy wanted to tell everyone. 'Celina, do I have to remind you that I hold your living situation in my hands?' Lucy fired back, hard. That did the trick. 'Okay, gotta go. See you at lunch.' Celina excused herself so she could get away from Lucy as fast a possible.

'Do you have any tips for me?' Sara asked, changing the subject back to her first day as Tim's rookie. 'Yes, he will hate me for telling you this, but he deserves it.' Lucy thought to herself, but she kept that to herself. 'He likes to do Tim Tests. Testing you on everything you need to know. Make sure you always know on what street you are and never hold something in your gun hand. If you want him to make your life a little easier, I would advise not saying anything, except if he asks you a question.' Lucy started explaining. Sara sighed, already tensing up by thinking about what that day could bring. 'He sounds friendly.' She said sarcastically, and Lucy smiled. 'I wish you the best of luck, and if you need anything, I'll always be available.' 'Thank you.' Sara responded grateful. Lucy walked away too. She was riding solo that day. Sara grabbed her bags too, and walked to the shop where Tim was already waiting for her.
