I once heard that North- Korea teaches children a unique lesson. They ask the children what one water drop plus one water drop is. All the children said that you then have two water drops, but that was wrong. If you mix two water drops together, you just get one big water drop. They thought this to show the kids that maths was fake, made up by the Americans. Of course, we know that maths isn't fake and that it really works, but if you say things like that over and over again, the children will believe it. That is not only because children are easier to manipulate, but also because it isn't 100% false. That is what happened to me. I had a lot of time in between the sessions of getting tortured. A lot of time to think and if you have a lot of time, you start asking yourself "why". I started thinking that I deserved it and that I was better off this way, because what happens is supposed to happen, Right? I started believing that I was lucky to be chosen to be tortured, Because there had to be a reason he chose me, right? It's like he brainwashed me, telling me over and over how lucky I was. Lucky to be chosen and Lucky to know how I was going to die and how that was going to feel. You can try as hard as you want to deny, but you will never win the fight against propaganda.

'Sara, can you tell me what day of the week it is?' Sara heard her ask. Sara heard her, but her words were going right through her. Her head was still full with the sounds of him screaming at her as the three paramedics came rushing in after the police. She saw the flashing lights of the police cars around her. There was so much happening at the same time, it overwhelmed her. The voices, the people, the lights, the changes, being outside, being free. She was sitting on a gurney in front of the ambulance. She had her knees up, trying to stay stable while her body was trembling. She gazed around, trying to make herself disappear. The woman that was talking to her put herself in between Sara and the business. Sara knew that it was a woman, because of her voice, but she couldn't really see what was going on. Her vision was blurry, like her head was underwater. She started to panic. She felt how her breathing started to increase and everything began to hurt. 'Sophie, can you give me a hand?' The woman asked. Another woman, in the same uniform, came into action and then it got a lot quieter. It took a moment for Sara to realise what had happened. They were now alone, Sara and two people she didn't know. Slowly, Sara's vision cleared up. It must have been the incentives. Now her vision was clearer, she could see the woman's face. She looked around 40 and gazed concerned at Sara. Sara turned around where the other woman was. She looked way younger, almost her age. She realised where she was. She was in the ambulance.

'It's okay. Calm down, just breathe.' The younger woman said. Her voice was sweet and kind. Sara's panic reduced. 'Good, just take it slow. My name is Caroline and this is Sophie. She's my helper. We are here to make sure you are okay.' The older woman said. 'Can you follow my light please?' Sophie asked. A little confused, Sara did what she asked. 'Do you know what day of the week it is?' There were two big problems with that question. One, Sara was incapable of answering. It was like something was blocking her. And two, she had no idea. She totally lost track of time inside of that house. She wanted to shake her head, but even that was too much right now. She was frozen. Sophie tried some other tests, but most of them were too hard for Sara's state of mind. 'So what do you think?' Caroline asked Sophie. 'I don't think she has any injuries, but I would like to bring her to a hospital, just to make sure.' Caroline nodded. 'You heard her. We are going to bring you to the hospital, alright?' Sara just nodded, she had no idea what that meant anymore, but she trusted them. She had too.

At the hospital, the real hell began. She was placed in a private room with five nurses around her, hooking her up to all kinds of machines. Again, all the people were too much for her to handle. The burning feeling came back. The feeling she had the night he took her to his house. She was that ice cube on the sun's surface again. So cold inside while her skin was burning away. She felt a water droplet run over her back and it made her twitch. She was sweating all over her body, even out of her eyes. Tears were falling and she couldn't help it. Her vision became blurry again as she felt the warm liquid run over her cheek to the edge of her jaw. All her feelings were trapped inside this unknown shell and it slowly came out like a waterfall coming out of the top of a mountain.

'Someone, she's panicking again. Give her a dose of Benzodiazepine.' Someone said. Someone else grabbed Sara's arm and connected something to her IV. She could feel something cold getting ingested and then she slowly faded. It was like she was starting to float. Someone inside of her head had finally turned off her mind. She didn't care about the people around her anymore and she couldn't care less that they were touching her to hook her up to things she had no idea what they were for. For a moment, for one moment everything was alright before she drifted to sleep.
