Eight - Troubled

We went straight to our room for the final instructions para sa release ng scores namin. Konting ketket lang naman ang sinabi ng adviser namin and dinismiss niya na kami para kunin yung results namin. And as always, block buster nanaman ang Lecturer's Office sa dami ng students na naka-line up to get their scores. What choice do I have? Pumila nalang din ako para makauwi na ako agad.

Robbie was excused by our moderator sa Student Council kaya mag-isa lang akong nakapila dito with no one to talk to. Good thing, they provided benches dito sa hallway for the students.

After what seemed like forever, I got my results and thank the heavens, I aced all subjects! All hard work paid off, grabe. Nakaka-overwhelm!

This only means one thing. Two I mean; I, alone, will be ranked one, or Ice and I are tied in rank 1. Either way, I am highly pleased.

Well, asides from my burning desire na matalo si Ice, I also want to compete with myself. I'm a consistent honor student ever since I was nursery until now but never have I become rank 1. It's both frustrating and challenging, especially when thoughts come to my mind that I'm just second best and that's the problem because I never settle for second best.

That's another thing I hate about Ice, he takes away that opportunity for me to break my 'second best' streak.

Fresh air ang bumungad sakin pagkalabas ko sa Admin Building but not as fresh if it's the same air the devil is breathing. His smirk is plastered on his handsome face as if screaming 'LOSER' to my face.

Yeah, right. Loser. Psh. I don't think that's the right description for me at the moment.

He approached me still with that annoying smirk. I could rip his lips out right now if he doesn't stop! Nakakainis. His mere presence annoys me, but his whole being pisses me big time. It's as if my system is programmed to hate him. Am I too harsh? I don't think so. I'm just being truthful.

"What are you doing here?" I asked. "Shouldn't you be in your meeting?"

He chuckled. "Stalker much? You know my sched?" saka siya umiling-iling.

I scoffed in disagreement. "Of course not, idiot." Pero hindi parin nawala yung ngisi niya. "I just know because Agatha and the two are part of the council too." I said, referring to Agatha, Tricia, and Dane, mutual friends of ours, who are also part of the Student Activities Council, which Ice is a member too, I just don't know what his position in the council is. Probably their 'Big Ass-Pain.' That'll suit him real well.

"Deny all you want, my love," he said. "It's hard to believe, for me."

Ugh. Ang yabang talaga kahit kalian. Pinaglihi ba 'to sa 'yabang', kung posible man yun? Edi wag siyang maniwala. Ikamamatay ko ba if he won't believe?

"I hate to cut our mini bonding moment, but I need to see my results," he said with a squint. "I'll go ahead." He smiled.

Ayan nanaman yang kabayo sa dibdib ko. It goes out of normal beating every time he smiles that way, yung walang halong kalokohan, just a pure and genuine smile.

I wasn't able to notice that he already walked pass through me towards the Admin Building, his back already facing me.

I called out his name, but it sounded more like a croak to me, so I called him once more with a better state of voice. He looked back at me with his brows furrowed in confusion. Lalong nagwala yung asungot na kabayo sa dibdib ko. He looks really attractive even with a very annoying cross-brow look.

I must have eaten something peculiar this day, because I can't help but notice his great figure in his hard-not-to-notice outfit. I never noticed this before, or maybe I just really didn't want to pay attention to him, but he has broad shoulders and a very lean back. Kitang-kita yun even with his thick long sleeves.
