Christian Harrison Romano

I'm on my way now towards the music room in our Cultural Arts Building because this is where Miss Vin Davis wanted to meet me according to Mister I don't remember the surname.

As I opened the door, I saw Miss Vin Davis sitting on the sofa with her back turned to me. My face hardened as I caught sight of her. Napailing ako. Shit. Magpapakabait nanaman ako.

I was instructed that I need to be courteous towards her. I should show her my utmost attention and care. I need to be a host for her.

She is the proxy for her father's supposedly official visit in our campus since ours is the only one here in the country. And this Irish girl who grew up in France was the one sent by her dad.

I shook my head and conditioned myself for another exhausting day saka ako tumakbo papalapit sa kanya.

"Good day, my lady," I bowed my head, butler style.

"She is extremely formal," I remember them telling me that. So I had to adjust my English and the way I act. I need to be more formal and more graceful.

I kept my head down unless she speaks.

"Good morning, handsome."

Nag-aalburuto ako sa kaloob-looban ko pero hindi ko pwedeng ipakita sa kanya. Nakakainis kung paano niya ako iaddress. But I need to keep calm and cool.

I lifted my head and stood straight and showed her my best smile. "Allow me to express my deepest apologies for keeping you long, my lady," I placed my right hand on my chest and lowered my head.

She faintly laughed but with grace and very much finesse. She covered her mouth with her hand as she quietly laughed and her shoulders were shaking. "There's no need for that."

She looked at me but just like the first time I saw her, her eyes seemed sleepy and her smile was just faint.

For formality, Romano. Pagpasensyahan mo lang.

I remained in that position still with my small smile on my face. I closed my eyes and bent a little lower. "Please, madame. I insist."

Napapamura talaga ako ng di oras. Gusot na nga yung samin ni Crim, tapos dyahe pa 'tong Vin Davis na to.

She sat straight from her crossed legs and smoothened her unwrinkled dress. She stood but I remained in my position still eyes closed.

"Well, I guess it can't be helped then," she giggled still in the most formal way.

I let out a small laugh too.

She started walking towards somewhere and her shoes made clicking sounds in the quietness of the room. "If that's the case," she was in front of me already and lifted my chin and made me face her.

My blank face was back as her sleepy eyes stare back at mine and she coyly smiles. She acts formal because of her petiteness, no doubt she did grow up in France.

"I want to hear you play the piano, Harrison."

Natigilan ako sa sinabi niya.

He addressed me by my second name. I don't know she knew me by my second name. And what's more surprising is she knows something about me that only me and my family knows. She knows I play the piano.
