Amara's POV
After Hakeem left, Amara felt a bit more at ease. His visit had lifted her spirits, and she wanted to share the positive moment with Morgan and Jhene. She sat down on the couch, pulling out her phone to send them a message.
Me: *Hey bestie, hey sissy .Hakeem came by to check on us. It really helped brighten our day. When I tell you it made me so happy.*
Morgan replied almost immediately.
Bestie Pooh 🩷: *That's great to hear! How are you and Namiko holding up?*
Me: *We're doing okay. It's been tough, but having Hakeem visit really helped. Namiko was so happy to see him.*
Jhene joined the conversation.
My twin 😝🍼: *I'm glad Hakeem came by. It's important to have people around who care about you. How was your day at work?*
Me: *It was hard to focus, but knowing Namiko was safe with Mom made it easier. I'm just trying to take things one day at a time.*
Bestie Pooh 🩷: *You're doing amazing, Amara. And we're here for you, no matter what. If you need anything, just let us know.*
My twin 😝🍼: *Absolutely. We can come over and hang out if you want some company. Or if you just need to talk.*
Amara felt a surge of gratitude for her friends. Their unwavering support meant the world to her.
Me: *Thank you both. I appreciate it more than you know. I'll let you know if I need anything. Just having you in my corner helps a lot.*
Bestie Pooh 🩷: *Anytime, girl. Take care of yourself and give Namiko a hug from us.*
My twin 😝🍼: *Yes, lots of hugs! We'll talk soon.*
Amara smiled as she put her phone down. The love and support from her friends and family gave her the strength to keep moving forward, knowing that she and Namiko were not alone in this journey.
