Fire

Our flame is dying out
Bring more wood I call out to you
You rush and bring them to me and yet our flame keeps dying out
A little more wood a little more this and that
Still, we won't rise
I am tired of trying to keep a dying flame on
I promised we would burn for eternity but I can no longer keep up
I thought as long as we had each other we would keep rising and burning passionately
I was wrong and I admit
I want you to know its okay to let the fire die and move on
I hope this finds you well but I no longer wish to burn slowly
I wish to burn fiercely, passionately
I want an untamable fire
I am no longer satisfied with a flickering flame
So let our fire die
Pour water over our flickering flame
Let the wind rise and kill our flame
Let us die pitifully
