Flashback from the end of the last chapter:
Sometime around early evening they both made their way back to Alexandria where they both arrived after a while. Adriak took Sophie home before he also went home himself since he lived with Daryl.
Now:
A few weeks have passed since Adrian confessed his love to Sophie. Since then, the two of them have done things together every now and then. Daryl, Adrian, Carol and Magna have just been on an errand for a few days to see if everything is safe near Alexandria but also to get supplies. Meanwhile, Rosita helped Eugene with a radio he found and the two wanted to try to get it to work again. The two worked on it until suddenly Rosita saw something. "Wait a minute, I'll be right back," Rosita said shortly before she went out because she and Eugene were in some kind of workshop about the radio. So Rosita went out because she had seen Sophie from inside. Besides, this time Rosita was actually worried about something else that wasn't Sophie's injury. "Hey" came from Rosita, hoping Sophie would hear it, but there was no answer from Sophie because Sophie just kept walking. Rosita sighed before walking towards Sophie at a quick pace. "Sophie" Rosita then said in her gentle tone that she always had towards Sophie. While Rosita said Sophie's name she put a hand on Sophie's shoulder, whereupon Sophie looked to the side and saw Rosita next to her. Sophie looked at Rosita but said nothing and waited for Rosita to say something first, which Rosita did after a few seconds. "What's up?" Rosita asked in a worried tone as she looked at Sophie and noticed Sophie's typically cold stare. "Nothing" came from Sophie briefly as she acted as if everything was fine before she then looked away. "Sophie" Rosita said with a sigh, whereupon Sophie looked again at Rosita, who looked at Sophie gently but also worriedly. "Nothing, it's just," Sophie started with a sigh, but Rosita didn't say anything at first because it seemed like Sophie wanted to say something else, so Rosita decided to wait until Sophie had finished talking. "Adrian should have been back a long time ago, it was said that the supply trip would only take one, two days at the most and it has already been four days. Adrian should be back by now," Sophie murmured, but Rosita still understood. "They'll come back, don't worry. Daryl and Magna are with them and they're both good fighters, you know that," Rosita said gently but also understandingly as she spoke Sophie looked at her. "Yes, but what if he-" Sophie started to talk but Rosita interrupted Sophie. "You love him, don't you?" Rosita suddenly asked, but her question was still serious There was a moment of silence as Sophie thought about the best answer. Maybe," Sophie said, slightly nervous, whereupon Rosita smiled. "Well, a few days ago when we told you we were going to look for supplies, he told me that he loved me and I said I did it too, but I was scared. I'm scared mkm. Fear that the same thing as Henry will happen to him or that something will happen to him. I don't want to have to go through this again," Sophie explained while a few tears ran down her cheeks and Rosita immediately realized that Sophie was trying to hold back her feelings. "Oh Sophie..." Rosita said gently, whereupon Rosita took Sophie in her arms and pulled her into a hug. Sophie didn't return the hug, but she allowed Rosita to hug Sophie. "It's completely okay to be scared but if you really love him then tell him and if you're ready for the label then tell him okay? I was scared too when Tara and I got together. She ended up dying "Yes, but that doesn't change the fact that I loved her with all my heart and still do. Take the chance while it's there, okay?" Rosita said it in a loving tone, whereupon Sophie nodded after a moment. "Thank you" Sophie murmured quietly, but Rosita still understood. After Sophie said goodbye to Rosita and walked a few meters away, the gate opened, whereupon Sophie immediately looked and saw Adrian, Daryl and the others. Rosita smiled slightly when she saw that Sophie went there immediately and then went to Adrian. "Hey," Adrian said in his usual tone. "Complete idiot" Sophie just mumbled while looking at Adrian. Afterwards, Sophie shook her head with a sigh before she pulled Adrian closer and kissed him. Adrian didn't think about it for long and then returned the kiss. "So you've decided after all," Adrian said gently after they both broke away from the kiss. "Don't ever worry me like that again, I thought something would have happened to you otherwise," Sophie muttered annoyed, whereupon Adrian laughed slightly. "Okay, I promise," he said gently. Adrian then went with Sophie into his house where Adrian lived with Daryl where he first put his things down before he gave Michonne what he had found. "How did you actually change your mind?" Adrian asked curiously as he put his things away. "I thought again and mom talked to me," Sophie then explained. "Typical Rosita," Adrian said with a smile, whereupon Sophie nodded in confirmation. When Adrian was finished, the two went to a place in Alexandria where there were usually no people, where the two talked for a while until they went home sometime around night. Everyone went to their homes after saying goodbye to each other.
