"But It could. A Shadow being Stolen.... It means that i can It exist in a world with light.", Brook sighed. "If my body is exposed to direct sunlight, it will start to burn up and disappear just like--"
"Ash...", Yushiro interrupted him as he gripped the table tightly with his hands, bending it.
"Ah, right.", Brook looked at him. "Yushiro-san, excuse me if I awakened old memories."
Yushiro sighed and let go of the table. "No, it's fine. Continue."
Brook nodded before he stood up from his chair. "I also cannot be seen in a mirror or in a photograph! In short, mine is an existence rejected by light! MY NAKAMA WERE ALL ANNIHILATED! I'M DEAD-BONES BROOK! NICE TO MEET YOU!", He laughed out in a fake cheery manner.

"SHUT UP!", Franky shouted.
"YOHOHOHOHOH!", Brook laughed out as twirled around.
"Hey, are you alright?", Usopp asked hesitantly.
"I think he lost it.", Yushiro whispered to him with a sweatdrop.
"Today is a wonderful day! I MET PEOPLE!!", Brook yelled in happiness before bowing down to the crew. "I couldn't tell the difference between today and tomorrow on this dark sea with a thick fog. All alone on a ship that won't obey its rudder. How many years I've been wandering! I'VE BEEN REAAALLLYYY LONELYY! LONELY AND AFRAID! SO MUCH THAT I WANTED TO DIE!"
They all just stayed silent.
"I'VE LIVED A LONG TIME! PEOPLE ARE A DELIGHT! FOR ME, YOU'RE MY DELIGHT! YOHOHOH! IF I HAD TEARS, I COULD CRY OF HAPPINESS!", He then turned to the grinning Luffy. "You invited me to be your Nakama! I'm really glad. Thank you very much. But the truth is, I must decline."
Luffy jumped out of his chair. "WHY?!"
"Earlier, I told you that my shadow was stolen. My body cannot live under the sun. Right now, I'm protected because of the fog of this Devil's sea. Even if I could leave this sea with you, it would be just a matter of time before my body disappeared. I have to get my shadow back, which is still here. I have waited for a miracle day! Yohohohoh!"
"What are you saying?! We're not strangers!! If that's the case, we'll get your shadow back! Tell me who stole it!", Luffy hurried to persuade him from leaving. "So! Where is it?!"
"You are a very good person...", Brook admitted as he sighed. "But even then, I cannot tell you that. I only just met you. I cannot ask you to die for me."
"Meaning the foe's too strong?", Franky inquired with a raised eyebrow. "It wouldn't kill you! At least give us a name."
"No, my lips are sealed.", Brook declined calmly. "Honestly, I don't know where he is.", he admitted as he chuckled. "I don't even know if I'll see him again before my second life comes to an end. But if our paths should ever cross, I have decided to fight him!", he finished .
