Chapter 82: A grand Nimbasa reunion

A/N: uhm I just wanted to upload one chap before this year ends and couldn't finish chap81- so here you go, 82! The only major thing in 81 is that you caught a Carracosta, that's it- 🧍🏻‍♀️ I'll try to finish the prev chap before the year ends but idk

"So the battle tournament is gonna be here at the Nimbasa City!" Ash exclaimed upon reaching Nimbasa 'City'
"I'm so excited for this!" You said
"Me too!"
"Home of the world famous, giant ferris wheel." Cilan mentioned.
"Giant ferris wheel?" Arlo asked, turning around to see the average sized wheel, "eh, it looks quite normal sized if you ask me"
"Oh, wow! What an exciting city for our next battle to take place!" Iris beamed.
"Sure is! And I'll be sure to capture all the excitement on camera." Luke excitedly said.

"Do you know where the Gym is, Luke?" Ash asked.
"Gym? What Gym?" Luke asked in confusion.
"The Nimbasa City gym, of course." You cleared.
"But...this is Nimbasa Town." Luke replied.
The group blinked twice before shouting, "Nimbasa Town?!"
"There's two of 'em?" You asked in frustration.
"Looks so" Ash sighed.
"He's right. Nimbasa City is still a fair distance from here." Cilan said, checking the digital map.
"Hey! Cheer up! We can still participate in the tournament, right?" You grinned.
"You're always so positive" Ash sighed with a smile and a faint blush on his cheeks, which didn't went unnoticed by you and Arlo.
'My goodness...what will I even do with him?' you sweatdropped.

Suddenly a familiar voice was heard, chanting the same old thing over and over again.

"Out of my way! Out of my way! Out of my waaaaay!" She warned before crashing into Ash, who ended up in the nearby fountain.
"You know, Bianca, you oughta be more careful." Ash said as he dried his clothes.
"I'm so so sorry!" She apologized, "I was running to register for the tournament. Oh no, you don't think I missed the deadline, do you?"
"Chill out Bianca, we were all heading to register too, you still have time left" you reassured.
"All of you?" She asked, "then what are we waiting for? Let's moo-oovee" she twirled and started to run.
"Why do I have a bad feeling about this?" Iris sweatdropped.

Luke set up his camera, documenting the Battle Tournament. "I'm standing here at the Nimbasa Town Battle Tournament, where a steady stream of accomplished competitors are arriving here on the scene one-by-one." Bianca then sat in front of the camera. She giggled, "A camera! Making a movie?"

After Ash was done drying up, the group headed towards the registration booth, where everyone recieved a paper.

"Let's see, name, hometown, and three pokémons..?" You stopped writing on the paper upon reaching the pokémon's part, "uh-oh..." You sweatdropped.
"Alors, so you're still using the same peppery Pokémon?" A familiar voice said.
"Ugh, it's Burgundy!" Ash exclaimed, remembering the first time the group encountered her.
"Not you again!" You groaned
"What do you mean by that?!" She shouted like a baby and went on, but you had a better thing to do, like select your pokémon.

Arlo managed to climb on the hugee table, and sat there, "Do you need help?"
"Yeah, I don't know who to choose! See I have; Spearow, Cottonee, Cinccino, Joltik and Carracosta."
"Hmmm, it's a difficult choice" Arlo thought.
"Hmmm....say, Spearow is a normal and flying type, which gives me a good advantage, so I can leave Cinccino, how does that sound?" You asked for approval.
"It doesn't sound that bad, now among Cottonee, Joltik and Carracosta...Cottonee is a pure grass type, while Joltik is a bug-electric and Carracosta is a water-rock type."
"Water-rock is an unique combination, don't you think?"
"I think I'll go with Cottonee and Carracosta, for some reason, Joltik's size is worrying me out a bit"

While talking, you didn't noticed Stephan coming with his newly evolved Zebstrika.

"Ahoy, Y/N!"
"Huh?" You turned around and smiled, "Stephan!"
Stephan immediately grinned, "finally someone got my name right!"
"What's up, Steven?" Arlo asked with a goofy grin, which instantly made Stephan sigh as his name was mispronounced, but he shrugged it off and came closer to you, "say, it's been a long time since we met!"
"Yeah, your Zebstrika is looking all good too!" You complimented, petting the pokémon.
