Chapter Twelve

CLARITY

"In the name of mother nature are they fucking with me?" I just finish explaining to Orianna and Hespera what Glassandra had told me.

With all people in this new world that have brought me into this world and Glassandra had to make me go on a quest with her brother of all people.

"Did you asked Glassandra to give you a choice to pick?" Hespera asked.

If only if I had a choice, I would choose anyone but not Xavier. I don't want to be working with him, but I don't have a choice.

"No and I did ask if Eldric can come with me instead of him, but she said we are running out of time and that Xavier is the best and bravest elf. Like hell he is" I said with my face fall of anger. With Xavier and I working could not end well, we would kill each other in the end of the quest.

With the event what happened in the training yard earlier today I think I want him far away from me as possible; he has done nothing but ruin my life. First, he kidnaps me from my village that I know it might not be my village anymore, next he ruins my night out with Eldric and Hespera, then he nearly cut my hair off with his sword, now he is going to be coming with me on the quest. Can I just unlive myself from this torture.

"I wish I could help but Glassandra has called me in at dawn for council meeting" Hespera explain to me, she had a guilty and sorrow face wishing she could help me out off being stuck with the prince himself.

"Is there anything I could avoid from him on this quest because I swear, I will stab him in the eyes with a bow and arrow if he makes one snicker comment towards me" I cross my arms over my chest. Both if the girls look at one and another sitting on the couch while I was standing near the fireplace. They both sigh before turning their attention back to me.

"You can try not speaking to him while on your travels unless it's about the black lake and it's best to avoid eye contact because he can talk with his eyes only" Hespera told me. I nodded to her noting everything down in my brain, I don't want to talk to him at all I can find this on my own without a males or anyone's help.

"Or...you can do things the sneaky way without Glassandra finding out Eldric has come on the quest" Hespera hiss at Orianna name who was smirking devilish. My eyes grew curious on what she might have in mind for the quest and for me to have Eldric come along.

"Like what?" I asked her, Hespera stand up and stalk towards me, while Orianna look too comfortable on the couch.

"You could leave with Eldric in first dawn when it rise, I will inform Glassandra you left early and tell you left with Xavier but you really with Eldric then Hespera and I will distract Xavier when he is about to meet you outside the gates and that will give you and Eldric enough time to get to the black lake" Orianna explain to me of what plan she has installed for me. It was not even bad at all, and I like it a lot.

"That is the most brilliant idea I have heard. 'Rinna you are so smart I think I love you" I said grabbing hold of her hands, giving it a squeeze. In return Orianna pulled back making a face, she pulled her hands away while scrunching her face up at my word.

"Step far away from me and do not say that ever again" She said with a look of insecurity on her face, I nodded feeling tense as I step back where Hespera is who giggle enjoying this way too much.

This moment could of last forever with just us girls in my chambers, but we heard slow clapping towards my open chambers door. I turn my head and saw the person I did not want to see standing there leaning against the door frame. I scoff as I glare at him.

"Well, Orianna I must say, that is your smartest plan you ever came up with even though you are a chocolate head" He said with a smug look on his face. I could smack him right across that face if I want to wipe that smug off it.

"Correction I'm dark black; you must be colour blind if you see chocolate brown" Orianna pointed out with a roll of her eyes but also a look to kill Xavier at that comment of her's. Xavier rolled his eyes.

"See if I care; nope" He answer. I chuckle sarcastically as I shake my head and cross my arms over my chest.

"What do you want?" I asked already annoyed by his presents.

"Well, I was just passing through after my sister told me the quest I have to be on, and I overheard your little plan to have Eldric trope along your journey and leave me behind; and to burst your little plan it's not going to happen on my watch" He can't do this. If he thinks I'm going to spend hours on this quest with his that might take days his got another thing coming.

"Why not?" I asked with my blood boiling up already.

"Cause Eldric has supper hearing, and you are weak you have no power" He said. Oh, I am going to smash his face. He can't be calling people weak because they don't a power, I just need to discover how to wake it up first.

"I am not weak, and I rather have any other elf around here on this quest then have to look at your stupid face" I spat out my words to him. He chuckle and turn his head to the side for a bit then turn back to me. He looked at me as if my face is a laughing stock with my angry red face that I can feel the heat rising from my cheeks and my palms burning up. He wet his bottom lip before biting it I should not even watch him do that all I want is for him to stay away from me.

"You sure about that little hunter, cause I could knock down your ass again if you want a round two from this morning" Xavier push off the wall he lean against and stalk towards me towering over me while I look up at him glaring at him.

"I rather die then be on the quest with you. I am going with Eldric if you like it or not" I told him trying to get in his face and spit those words out but his too tall for me to do that.

"No" He said his eyes darken with that one word.

"By order of the Prince you have to go on the quest with me no one else if you want to survive" He said then after he said that he left my chambers as his shoes was heard down the hall. I did not realize I was crying as I wipe my eyes. He can not order me about I am sick off him and his orders.

But I am not going to let someone like him stop me from going on this quest with Eldric. He can go fuck himself.
