Chapter Thirteen

CLARITY

The sound of the night owls was heard at the quiet night sky outside my chambers window. Candles that were light up was now burnt out. Everyone is meant to be asleep that's what I know.

If a dipshit of a Prince would demand me to go with him tomorrow at dawn, then he has another thing coming. I maybe new around this world that welcome my eyes to and think this is just a dream, but there is one thing I'm not letting the Queen's brother push me around.

Quickly, I lace up my boots and braid my hair in a single braid; there is no turning back, but I must stay quiet once I leave my chambers room.

Shutting my door was tricky as it keep on making nosiest, but then trying to walk without making a noise on the floor was worst. I creep past a door, and I notice the candle lights was still on, my breathe caugh in my throat in fear of getting caught but all I heard through the door was weird sounds like groans and moans and a bed hitting the wall.

Gross.

I quickly and quietly sneak away before I could vomit whoever were fucking and don't want to know either. This castle need to get soundproof chambers rooms to not hear what others are doing. Like the other night I think I heard Valerian talking really loudly, no more like screaming really loud and could wake the whole castle up. I swear I was going to jump out of the balcony over this elf that I might call friend.

Hespera told me where Eldric chambers is at and here, I stand outside them, heads up she told me he is a light sleeper, so I need to not stuttle him awake.

Breathe in, breathe out.

I knock quietly not too loud for the sleeping castle to hear then I push open his doors. Eldric room was in the shades of dark blue and grey, he had a bookshelf on one side of his chambers room and a working table on the other side of the room, in the other room I can see a bath and last his bed sat in the middle.

"Eldric" I whisper softly not wanting to scare him.

"Eldric!" I whisper hissed this time and in which Eldric work up. He rub his eyes and look at me in the dark room confuse in what I'm doing here or if something has happened.

"Clarity? What are you doing here? Has something happened?" The only thing that something could happen is if Xavier will find out what I'm doing.

"Nothing is wrong" I said then sigh to myself, inhale, exhale.

"Look I need you to come on this mission, quest that Glassandra assign to me for tomorrow but if we leave now, we will make it till dawn" I explain in a quick way as I could to Eldric, time is going quick and fast, and we might not have enough time if we just sit here and chick chat about this.

"I though Xavier was your quest partner?" Eldric still held a confuse face on. I huff annoyed as I stood up straight.

"I hate that male, and I would rather you come with me instead of that cunt they call Prince" I said. Eldric lips part a bit in silence. Why is he just sitting there we have to move.

I raise my eyebrow at him.

"Give me five minutes" Eldric said. I rolled my eyes and step out of his chambers like a knight standing on duty. After exactly five minutes Eldric step out dress in his usual night blue training clothes that nearly match my light grey one's I got on.

"We need to grab some weapons in case any danger is in sight" Eldric said nearly whispering in the words but keep his voice low as we walk quickly together to the training room they keep lock in the room.

As we turn the corner head down to the training room, we see the lights on, and the door was unlocked I pull Eldric back to not be notice whoever was in there. We both then peek the corner to see Valerian was training in the room without his shirt on. With a buff male like him he was sure buff and could break your bones if he wish too.

"It's just Valerian don't stress" Eldric told me, whisper in my ear. I turn my head to Eldric looking into his grey blue eyes.

"He could tell Xavier, I know a male like him when they can't keep quiet and Valerian looks like he won't keep his mouth shut" I said, Eldric smirk at me as his eyes glitter with amusement.

"You catch on fast, Clair" Eldric said making me chuckle.

"I got this, don't worry" He said putting a hand on my shoulder before he walk past me and walk to where Valerian is while I hide but keep watch.

"Val, hey man" Eldric said seeing the giant silver hair turn with dimples on his face seeing his friend.

"Eld, what's up?" They both clap hands and hug each other.

"Nothing much just couldn't sleep" Eldric said acting as rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.

"Ah I feel you, I have too much energy and it's hard to sleep so I come and train 'til I'm out of energy" Valerian explain swinging the sword in his hand.

"Mind if I grab some weapons, Xavier wants them sharpen for his quest with Clarity tomorrow?" Eldric asked his friend. Valerian eyes narrow but keep a smile on his head.

"Yeah, go ahead" Eldric then grab one sword out and pick up a bow with some arrows along. He knows that I loved my bow and arrow and that I miss it.

"You know I always through Xavier type is auburns and I know he is hot head over the new girl" Valerian said.

"You don't know that" Eldric said sighing to himself.

"No, no, no, no man. Hear me out" Eldric pause his step and look at the male.

"Every time they are in the room one of them starts a fight, even though it's amusing but Xavier, are man his eyes light up every time; sparkle even" Valerian said with a chester cat smile with amusement. But it can't be true right?

"Sparkle? Really? I don't see it man" Eldric said shaking his head and walking away to where I was hiding.

"That's because you never look or been with a girl like Xavier has" Valerian shout out.

"Night Valerian!" Eldric said and once Eldric turn the corner where I am he hand me the bow and arrows.

"Thanks" I whisper to him putting the case and arrows on my back follow by the bow.

"I got an extra sword for you" Eldric said wanting me to take it.

I have never been that good with a sword, but I think I can get better at it.

"Okay, thanks" I said keeping it thigh on my belt in a safe place.

And once we were all set and ready we left the doors of Mireworth Fortess castle and we past the barrier gate that hides the secret of this world.

My life is now changing forever, I don't even know who I am, but I want to know who I am and that is by finding answers and finding my mother. She has all the answers I need.

To the siren river it is then.
