CLARITY
My heart is thumping out of my chest, I need to start moving most of all eyes are on me to watch. My eyes look around as I search for the bow, but I can't find it anywhere. Fuck it.
I don't have a choice. I draw my sword that I sneak under my training gear, I hold it tightly. My knees bend hard and deep as I feel the dirt under my boots. The beast looks at me then just as I was looking for the bow at the corner of my eye it when to attack me.
I move as I roll on the ground not even dropping my sword. I look at it dead in the eyes, gritting my teeth. And I though animals were nice. Not this one.
I when to hide behind a rock quickly before it can get a snip out of me. Labour breathing out as I look around to use anything against it. I then see a tree I could run at it.
Without looking back. I start to run fast as I can, knowing that it is not far behind, I run up the tree a bit before I swing round with my sword and slice the eye out of the beast. It hiss near like a sound of a lion.
It did not like it. I jump down and slide to my knees cutting it near its neck but not deep when it wants to eat me out.
I am quiet enjoying this and I might be able to win.
But as I was just about to jump and roll to the other side, I felt teeth going into my side.
"Agah" I said out loud hissing. I clutch my side as I took my hand away to find blood. My sword drop but not far from me as I grab a tight hold of it. I kick the fuckers face hard as I can as I flip back up to my feet, sword in hand.
As its teeth come in front of me, I dig my sword into its mouth before it can dig into my skin again. It whine so loud like a dying whale you would see. The last slash was at its neck and as blood splatter on me, it's head fell to the ground.
I breathe out a relief with a smile on my lips, I killed it. Hearing crowd cheer I look up at Hespeta with a smile that I won yet again. But little did I know I was near a fallen ditch. My legs couldn't hold up as I try to grab something to hold me, but I then fell back and into the ditch.
Can thing's get anymore worst?
I groan as I sit up and rub my back where I fell in the ditch, it had rocks and stones about, lucky it was not too deep.
My side felt like it was burning, and I could not even jump back up to move, I crawl to a stone wall near a little river steam. Beans of sweat was pouring from the side of my temple. It feels like I'm going to die, and I can't die, not yet.
"I'm so surprise you survive yet another trial" The sound of his voice was heard. How did he ever get down here? I was too busy looking at my own blood pouring out to even look at him.
"Have you come to lecture" I said then lift my head up to look at where he is standing not far from me.
"Or have you come to finish the job that beast couldn't do?" I said, raising a brow. His face turn into a cocky smirk as he put a hand on his chest like I have hurt him.
"Oh, you wormed me little hunter" He said making me rolled my eyes. I bite the inside of my lip hiding the hiss in my voice. My breathe shaken, I squeeze my fist harder then I think it would turn white.
"Your bleeding out" He said. Oh, he never knew!
"You think!" I said my eyes grew big looking up at his amuse face. He think this is funny, try being bleed out to death.
"How did you get down here anyway?" I asked gather around where we are. He frown as he step forward.
"I got my ways" He then kneel down to where I sit.
I then felt him pull my training jacket up to see the wormed the beast had done to me. When the air hit it, I hiss out loud arching my back. It hurts like I've been set on fire.
"I can help you" He said. Help me? Help me what? Leave me to die? To rotted?
"But there's a cost" He looking in the eyes, I let a light laugh out.
"Of course there is a cost with you" I said, our eyes meet but mine felt like they were fading.
"When your last trial comes up, you must not leave Mireworth Fortess without an order even if you want to find your mother so badly, we need time" He said. Exhale, inhale.
"And if I don't? If I go looking for her myself?" I asked him.
"Then I'll lock you in your chambers until you listen" He said. Like hell he will do.
"Then I guess you should forget about it" I said. I heard him chuckle as he rise up.
"Suit yourself. You're the one dying" He started to walk away slowly from where I am.
I choke on myself to not scream in agony of the burning pain I'm feeling.
"Wait!" I called out. He stop and turn with an amuse face.
"Fine! I'll do it! Just-" I took a deep breathe in before I spoke again.
"Just help me, please" I would never so plead to him but when someone is desperate right now and afraid of death, they'll do all of their strength.
"Clarity" His voice sound far away like an echo.
I feel my eyes flick open and close, until I feel my body feels light and black dots come in my vision. Everything feels quiet and peaceful. But still scare the shit out of me.
