CLARITY
It feels like we keep walking the same place over and over, like when you walk in circles over and over again. Not once have I seen a path or a road to walk on. I'm not complaining, I love the forest; being in the trees the breeze but sometimes you just wish you know where you're going, even when you think someone is trying to get you killed in these trials.
"Are you even sure this is the direction on the map that Glassandra told us to head to?" Hespeta rolled her head, and I swear she nearly let a whine leave her lips, walking behind a grumpy Xavier. What is up his ass today?
"Would you ever stop whining?" Xavier said as I watch his knuckles turn white from squeezing too hard. He is in a right mood today and for starters I am not the one complaining to him today. Maybe I'm too nauseous about the trials to be bother by him today.
"With you...? Never" Hespeta lips turn into a grin while Eldric had to cover his laugh up with a fake cough that end with Xavier sending him a glare.
I move a tree brunch out of my view as we keep walking ahead to be fair, I have not spoken a lot to anyone since we left Mireworth Fortess, and no one seem to bother me until now...
"You are awfully quiet today little hunter. What, did a deer caught your tongue?" I scoff at Xavier comment and turn my head to glare at the back of his head which I feel as he knows I'm doing already.
"Actually no" I answer a smile grew on my face to what I am going to say next.
"I only talk when I want something to say and that saying has nothing to talk about to you" I said. It feels like I just stung Xavier with a bee. He turn his head to look over his shoulders to look at me and I see a grin appear on his face over my words. He chuckle.
"And I though you when mute since we left Mireworth Fortess" He said. Well, he though wrong.
"You though wrong. And no one can keep me quiet. Especially males like you" I said looking up and down. I watch as he bite his bottom lips with a smile on his face as he nodded his head to agree to something in his head that if I were not in the trials, I would ripped it off his body.
For the rest of the walk there all of us stay silent and not made any more comments to someone we don't like. If I ever have to hear Xavier say another word to me that would boil my blood, I think I would pounce him not even care if he were Glassandra' s brother, or the prince of Mireworth Fortess.
I then felt the breeze move my braid to one side, feeling the tingle of the air brush against the back of my neck. We all stop walking when Xavier didn't move. I step forward to be standing next to Xavier where he is looking straight ahead.
What is there to be seen, is a hill of mountains and steps, thousands of steps to be walk up to. This must be it.
Above the mountains.
There is no backing out now and I must face what I must challenge to do. I step more forward to start walking ahead but as I did the corner of my violet eyes meet his blue. The blue that reminds me of the ocean. But the kind of blue that can be dangerous to look at. I hate him and he hates me and when this is all over with the trials and finding my mother, we can forget each other and go our own way. And I can go home.
