(Clarity)

The doors to Glassandra's chambers were open as I step in as the knights guarding the door close them behind. I bow my head gently greeting Glassandra. She had her hair braided down her back for once not up in a thigh bun with braids wrapped around them. She was wearing a beautiful violet purple night dress with a white roap as if she were ready to go to bed.

"Clarity" Glassandra said I smile at her I walked over to her we grab each other's arms as if it was another way of hugging each other.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" She asked me, her face hold worried of my safety. Glassandra has always shown worried since the day we met; it was like when a mother is worried for their own child sake to come home. Glassandra shows that reminds me of my own mother, the one I will find.

"I have never been sure. Ever since I got here, I felt like I failed to find answers to my mother, she is the only one who will know who I'm truly am. I have to find what's in there to find her before the war starts. She is my bird that help me fly free" I said. I always say once my mother disappear, I picture her as a bird that helped me fly free when I ran into the forest with my bow it was as I hear her voice in the birds I hear in the morrow. And in the breeze.

"Okay" Glassandra said in a shaky whisper to me. She is afraid what might happened to me, but she shouldn't be. I will be fine, I have survive long enough here and I will do it again.

"You are not going alone; I'm not letting you die out there so you will go with someone, and he is the only one that is strong and brave enough to help you" Glassandra said. Just then the doors to Glassandra's chambers open up I turn my head to the chambers door and Glassandra look up and I could have let a groan escape my lips. The one person I don't want to talk to or see, I have been avoiding in for a moon month and this is the first time since we last spoke or seen each other since what I saw.

"Shit" I heard Xavier mutter under his breathe, I raise a brow at him then turn my head back to Glassandra.

"Him?" I asked as if this were a joke, I would kill him after he left me alone in the cottage the other moon month ago.

"I know you have my differences between each other, but he is the last restore" Glassandra said, I sigh to myself.

"Don't let him get to, don't do for me but for your mother" Glassandra said. She is right I am doing all this for my mother, so I'll do anything for my mother and to see her again.

"Alright" I said in a whisper, Glassandra let a sigh out that she did not know she was holding.

"You're going to sleep sister?" Xavier asked as he stand near the couch.

"No, I'm going to stay up and do reading; wait for you" Glassandra nodded while staying I look at her when she said those last words.

"You will wait?" I asked kind of surprised she would wait.

"I will wait for you" She said taking my hands and rubbing her thumb over them.

She will wait for me. No on ever would wait for me when I was little, I was never care by other, but my mother did.

"I will return" I said in a whisper.

And with a final smile, final look, final touch I left the chambers while Glassandra smile as I left the room, but that smile will soon disappear when the war will begin.

"Your not taking that bow you found?" Xavier asked starting to walk with me down the hall and I already want to kill him.

"Your taking that sword?" I chuckle to myself looking him up and down then start walking ignoring him.

"Stay five feet away from me, no more and no less" I said gritting my teeth.

And he did, he listen to me for once. He was five feet away from.

Stepping out of the Mireworth Fortess castle the first thing to hit me was the fresh breeze hitting my face, it was dark out the stars and the moon were a light. But I still tense whenever which moon rise the war might begin.

"Do you think we need a torch to see where we going?" I asked Xavier where we stare out.

"We don't use torches when we on a risky mission" He answer I turn to him raising a question brow.

"What?" I asked confused what he mean.

"Here, let me show me" He said bring out a small orb as he step towards me about to touch me, but I slap his hand away.

"Don't touch me" I hiss at him.

"Come on, I won't hurt you" He said. I glare at him after he said. He has hurt me too many times how can I let him touch while I hate him.

"Right sorry. Look let me show you, you don't have to trust me, but I just want to help" He said, I glare at him saying nothing as he speaks.

"No, I don't trust you" I said shaking my head. I have never nearly trust me or even like him, but I did all this for my mother.

"Right, I know I did things to you that is wrong but if you want to get to the cottage and see where you are going this orb will show you" He said, I rolled my eyes with my arms cross.

"What exactly does this stupid orb does anyway?" I asked.

"Here" He said stepping towards me. I did not know what he was doing but I want to know what that orb does.

Xavier took my hand, the hand where my birth mark in on. He place the orb in my hand as his other hand with the same birth mark as mine under my hand as hold the orb together. He was standing close to me even when I told him not too. We were close that our breathes could be felt on each other.

"Now close your eyes" He whisper to me; I look up at him wondering why.

"What?" I asked him.

"Close your eyes" He told me again. I did as he told me and close my eyes. Even with my eyes close I know he was still here standing with me.

"Now take a deep breath in" He told, and I did.

"And picture a light in your head that would guide you to where you want to go" He told me whispering close to the shell of my ear. It gave the shivers feeling someone up close to whisper in my ear.

I picture in my head a light, a soft white light that would brighten the area I stand, but not too bright to send signal around where we are.

"Clarity, look" Xavier said. I open my eyes slowly to see Xavier smiling down. He smiled. I never saw him smile before, it looks real, and he looks please. It was something I would never forget, and it shows his dimples on him.

I look down at my hand and saw a light I pictured just like in my head around us, but one thing caught m eyes, my birth mark it had light up and so did Xavier.

"My birth mark?" I question looking up at Xavier.

"How is the outline a light and yours as well?" I asked confuse what it means.

It's not a birth mark Clarity" Xavier told me, I did not answer back as I stay quiet looking into him blue eyes.

"It's the elf mark, not a birth mark you are one of us humans wouldn't be able to do this what you are doing" Xavier said, I want to denial him tell him his wrong, but I couldn't get it out of my mouth.

"But my mother has the answers we need" I said.

"Maybe..." He started off.

"Your mother wanted you to figure it out yourself instead of telling you" Xavier said. He might be right, but I will never admit it.

"You hold it, let it guide you" Xavier told all I did was nodded.

"We better go and see what's in that cottage then" I said.

And then walked, we left Mireworth Fortess but before we left, I felt a shiver go up and down my spine, it was like the same where I walk down the halls, eat dinner the first time here and when I was Above the Mountains. It's as if someone is following me.
