Chapter Thirty Seven

CLARITY

After bathing and cleaning the dirt off myself the next following morning Hespeta, Eldric, Xavier and I pack up for our journey to head back to Mireworth Fortess. I want to get out of here so bad and don't turn back.

The kitchen cooked us something for on our travels back which smelt good, my mouth start to water at the through of not having a proper piece of meat in weeks.

"All set?" Hespeta asked as we stand outside the doors of above the mountains.

"I've dying to leave this place after my second trial went" I said making both of us girls chuckle.

Xavier huff walking past while grumbling to himself not knowing what. He seems quiet grumpy lately since we last spoke to each other.

"Alight everything is ready. Let's move" Eldric said coming out. And as I was about to turn to run down the steps that I felt energy in me.

"Wait!" I turn as well as the others. Lucius was still here. I smile sweetly as I walked forward while he was making his way towards me eyes on me.

"Your still here? I through you might have left after my trial" I stopped in front to Lucius.

"Nah I wouldn't leave only if you were dead" I nodded biting and wetting my bottom lip trying not to feel hurt at the through if I were dead.

"I was hoping to get a goodbye" He said. I'm not sure but I swear I can feel Xavier growling down my neck or so.

Instead of speaking I reach up on my tiptoes and lean up to his lips, feeling his breathe on me, I then press my lips on Lucius he did not pull away but kiss me back. It felt different but I have never kiss anyone before.

I pulled away after a while catching my breathe.

"Not goodbye. A see you soon" I said smiling making Lucius chuckle.

I turn around to walk away but then remember something and turn back around.

"My mother you said you would look into it" I said.

"Yeah uh, what was her name again?" He asked.

"Yavanna" I answer. I always loved my mother's name most people won't hear a lot, I found it pretty.

"Just Yavanna? She didn't have a last name?" Lucius asked.

The only last name she had was mine I think so it would be the same.

"Just Yavanna Riverwood" I said.

"See you soon" My final words to Lucius but I know we will meet again.

I walked up to Hespeta took her hand once we had all our stuff and walked down the long stairs not turning back.

"You got to explain what that was all about?" Hespeta had a grin on her face, and I thank that we did not have Valerian here cause he would not stop teasing me about this.

"That was nothing to talk about" I said not wanting to talk about these kind of things. I was never that kind of girl who kiss the male, but it was a see you soon kiss. I will see Lucius again.

But there is tension I can feel it, I can see by the corner of my eye that Xavier is not happy, and I can't put my finger on it, we have not talked since, and he is mad at me. I should be the one mad at him not the other way around, it is really clear I hate him and all I want is to find my mother and leave this place. I love Hespeta and Eldric, but my mother is the one thing on my mind.
