Chapter Forty Eight

CLARITY

Walking down the halls in Mireworth Fortess made me breathe again, I know I was safe from here but for how long? I felt nervous, my palms were sweating. Glassandra is going to be piss at me but I'm trying to help speed things up.

Valerian and I stop outside the close doors  from the throne room with two knights standing guard each side.

"How piss do you think she will be?" I asked Valerian, he turn his head to look at me as he think for a moment before answering.

"Probably-" Valerian started but he was then cut off by the sound of Glassandra's voice shouting, it was so loud that I think the whole realm might have heard her.

"I think that answers your question" Valerian said with his eyes wide, he let a loud gulp. Valerian fears when Glassandra is piss he always knows to not piss her off.

"Here goes anything" I said taking a deep breathe in, and exhale.

I nodded to the knights to open the doors up and just then the doors was then push open we walked in, but it seems Glassandra did not notice.

Hespeta, Orianna, Eldric and even Morgan was in the throne room. Glassandra was holding Xavier up by his shirt with her face fall of rage.

"I swear on our mothers memory Xavier! If you know anything where Clarity where abouts from last night I will cut your cock of and put it on a stake!" Glassandra said as a small cloud of thundering lighting was above her head about to strike Xavier down with it, but before anything a cough was heard to get her attention.

"Your Grace, Clarity Riverwood has return with Valerian Thornblade from the Forest Court" One of the knights standing near the door called out.

Glassandra turn her head and let go of Xavier making him fall ass on the floor. Good; he deserves that.

I walked fast before I was close to where Glassandra is, I bow down to her before looking up at her as the doors in the hall close behind.

"Your Grace" I said. Glassandra sigh in relief as she walked up to me wrapped her arms around me and as she in brace me into a hug I got a smack in the back of my head.

"I have been worried all morning about you. Since Hespeta told me you idiot" She said but I did not hide the smile on my face.

"We have been worried sick something might have happened to you" Hespeta step forward as she gave me a hug next.

"I apologize to be worrying you all" I said stepping back looking at all of the ones I call friends.

"Where have you been anyway? We through you left to go back to your chambers last night?" Orianna asked scoffing to herself with her arms cross.

I look at Xavier before giving him a glare before turning back to look at Glassandra.

"Xavier took me to the black lake to get more answers from the sirens to what is happening with the demon elves and everything" I explain.

"I knew it!" Glassandra then smacked Xavier right hard at the back of his neck that I saw his eyes go wide and he rub his neck repeatedly.

"Ow!" He said.

"I wouldn't say "ow" when I am done with you" Glassandra gritted her teeth at her brother who step back to stand next to Eldric.

Glassandra turned her head back to me waiting for me to continue.

"We when to the sirens and I got into the black lakes river water to look for them. Then all of a sudden, I got a vision of a war coming with blood, death, friends and foes, the castles crumbling" I explain to them.

"Then I came back, and we found a cottage to stay and then Xavier and I had a fight, and he left me there alone" I finish explaining.

"You left her there alone!?" Glassandra squeeze her fist while glaring at her brother.

"She pissed me off" Xavier answer. I rolled my eyes at his answer.

"So what? Anything could have happened to her!" Glassandra raise her voice with her eyes darken with anger at her brother.

"Which something did happened" Valerian said. I look at him giving him a seriously look.

"I saw Clarity shoot two demon elves down with a bow" Valerian explain quickly.

I wave my bow about to show, then Glassandra gasp with her lips parted open.

"What?" I asked.

"That's the black bullet bow and arrow" She said covering her mouth.

"Okay? So, what is so special about it?" I asked my eyes frown around to everyone around us.

"Clarity, the black bullet bow and arrow is a weapon to kill demon elves, most elves cannot touch as it is cover in venom" Hespeta explain as I look down to the bow in my hand.

"What happened when you used it?" Glassandra asked.

"I shoot two of the demon elves down and they burn in flames" I explain to what I saw getting a nodded to Valerian who saw what happened.

"It has been decades since someone use that bow and the last person, she had auburn hair like you" Glassandra said. Could it be my blood who use this bow? Could it be my mother?

"Clarity, you are special I always knew you was and it's true you are special like all of us" Glassandra said taking my hand with a smile on her face so gracefully looking at me.

"I'm going to leave before anyone else throws hands at me" Xavier said as he walk past. I look at the corner of my eye catching his eyes looking at me as he walk past.

As soon as Xavier left the room it felt less tense in here then it was before.

"Glassandra the war" I said getting back to what needs to be told.

"It's coming soon or later we need to be prepared. We need to train and know there weaknesses. We need to fight we can't just sit back and let them win we are the ones that will die" I explain. Looking around at all my friends knowing soon we might lose one of us.

"My brother thinks I'm weak, not just to fight but as a queen" Glassandra sigh looking down feeling shame of herself.

"You are not. Having people fight for you for Mireworth Fortess is strength. You have people, elves on their knees loyal to fight for you to keep this place at peace. I want peace. Anyone whoever they are king, queen, lord, or lady, human or elf they would fight to keep the realms safe. I'm doing this not just for my mother to find, but for peace. Fight for peace" I said with every word I breathe out I keep my eyes locked on Glassandra.

By fighting for something and not just for yourself is a way of winning this war that will come.

"Will train together, asked every lords to bring knights in there realms here, train everyone up to the braves, strongest warriors we know. If this war is happening, we need everyone that is loyal to us to fight by our side" I smile up at Glassandra's words. I in brace her into another hug, I felt hope that we could win this if we stick together.

"Thank you" I said which Glassandra nodded.

"But we must be careful, we don't know one of us might betray us we call friend" I said. My words where right what I saw I have the feeling inside that one of us will betray the other in this war but who?

"I'm going to return Xavier cloak then bath" I said taking his cloak of me, I shake my hair about.

"Do you want some company?" Hespeta asked me, I gave her a smile while shaking my head no.

"I will be fine" I said before turning on my heel to leave.

But whatever I may face, I will be ready and Glassandra and everyone else will be ready.

I will fight for peace and nothing more than that.
