CLARITY

The answer you seek will be past the wall you will walk; one you will survive you might die at one time. But what you seek will give you what you need, you might seek her in your dreams or reality. But the walk on the thine wall you must across, if not you might drown.

My eyes shot open and the water bubble out of my mouth as I gasp up for air, sitting up in the bath. I have been in it for an hour soaking up the warmth, but now the freezing water sends shivers up my body.

I can't get the riddle song that the siren told me out of my head, I know it has a meaning and a message to me. It's as they were telling my future and what might happen; but they never said that my mother was dead so there is still hope she could be alive.

I step out of my bath and put on my night sleep dress that Orianna has lend me to sleep in which Hespeta had made her lend it to me. But I must say Orianna does have great taste in fashion in what I have seen so far in what she has made. One of Hespeta books she had gave me sat on the small table in my chambers. I pick up the book and made my way to sit down near the burning fire that lights up my chambers.

The book that Hespeta had gave me is called History of the Legend Elves. I rolled my eyes and open the book flipping a few pages in.

My anger from earlier still boils in what Glassandra wants us to do, I know she wants to wait if anything happens but while we are waiting my mother could be dying out there, I know my mother is strong I can feel it, but no one knows where she is or who has got her.

"Hello?" A small voice was heard as I hear my chambers door squeak open. I turn my head to look where the voice was coming from. It was a little girl, she had brown chestnut hair of the colour of the branch trees, her skin was pale but had the little pink on her cheeks, and her eyes was an innocent blue colour that reminds me of the ocean. She looks kind of lost or even confuse at the same time.

I turn fully around and gave the little girl a smile.

"Hello there, are you lost" I asked in a quiet voice not to scare the poor girl.

"H-hi, I'm um, sorry" She hesitate. My face soften as I got up and bend down to her level. This girl I don't even know but she reminds me of when I was her age and was a scared little girl wanting to reach for my mother's touch.

"It's okay. You don't have to be scared. I'm Clarity, what's your name" I said. I put my hand out to her. Most kids would get tense or scared when people touch them, so I normally wait until they touch my hand first.

"I'm um, Saga" She said, her soft hand lay on top of my hand. I hum with a soft smile on my face.

"That's a beautiful name, for a beautiful little girl like you" I said gently bobbing her nose making her giggle.

"I like your name too, it's really pretty" She said making me chuckle.

"Now what are you doing here? Are you lost?" I asked her. Saga look down where she stand wearing her night dress playing with her fingers.

"I was looking for Hespeta room to sing me to sleep but I got lost and could not find her" Saga eyes look up and I can see her eyes start to gloss up at the mention of getting lost and can't find her way round the castle. I did not really know my way around, but I am learning to find my way around here.

"Hey, it's okay, I'm new around here and I can't find my way around here sometimes, I'll take you to Hespeta" I brush her cheek wiping the tears that dare to escape her glossy eyes.

"Really?" She asked in her innocent quiet voice.

"Of course," I put my book on the table quickly and took Saga little hand which she cling to me.

We walked together the long castle halls still lit up; I smile down at Saga who looks even scared for her age being around in the big castle. She did not have pointy ears like the rest of the elves here which means she must get them when she comes of age.

When we got to Hespeta chambers door, I knock on it quicky and push it open seeing Hespeta turn around with a worried look on her face as soon as she saw Saga she sigh in relief.

"Hespie" Saga ran up to her, Hespeta pick her up as she wrap her arms around her snugging into her neck.

"Saga you had me worried" Hes said, she look past Saga and look at me which I gave her a smile. I stand against the door.

"She got lost and came into my chambers. I brought her here" I explain to the blonde with black strips in her hair.

"Thank you" Hes whisper to me, I nodded in response.

I turn to leave the room, but I heard my name be called by Saga I turn back around with a hum in response.

"Thank you, it's nice to finally meet you" Saga said with a little smile on her face showing her high cheeks up.

"Your welcome. And if you ever get lost again you can come and find me, I can sing you to sleep as well" A smile was written on my face at the through of singing to a little girl to sleep just like how my own mother use to do the same to me.

Once I close Hes chambers door I head back to my own and as I renter mine, I pick my book back up and sat back down where I was before Saga came in. I open the book but not the front but to the back of the book.

It looks kind of weird as I scan through it, it was not like some writer written in it.

It was dates of births and deaths.

I flip through some pages and as I turn to the last one the page was ripped out. Did Hespeta ripped the page out? No, she wouldn't.

But why is there a missing page and what could be written on it?

Or whose name was written on it?
