CLARITY

River streams, lakes, oceans were always my favourite part of places to go, the river streams mostly when I walk in the deep forest of fall of green trees and grass. But I never seen a lake this deep below before.

I put down my bow and arrow and knee down seeing my reflection in the lake reflect back at me. Eldric just thrown a rock to try and get the sirens attention if they are down there to come up and talk to us.

"Are you sure they are down there?" I asked leaning forward but not too closed to not fall in.

"This is where most of the sirens are here" Eldric said throwing another small rock with a sigh.

"Wait here I'm going to find something to get the sirens to talk to us. Do not step into the lake" Eldric point a finger at me.

"Okay why?" I asked even though I will not, but I want to know why I should not step in.

"Most people drown deep because of a siren I don't want Glassandra to find out you are dead" Eldric said.

I nodded as I stand up with my back turn to the lake and watch as Eldric walk away going by the trees.

And here I am now alone, I thought I might have been so close to finding out where my mother might be or if she is even alive but there is no sirens here and it is waste of a quest to be on. I just want to go home and have my mother with me. I don't want this life, I don't want to be one of them, I don't want to fight like I'm in a war. I just want to go home and hunt in the woods and go home to my mother and cook with her.

I did not asked for this!

I though the only sound I could hear was the birds in the trees in the sky, but I heard a soft sound of a women singing it was not miles away, but her voice wanted to be heard miles away.

I turn around to face the lake and I see a women in there with silver sparkly skin look flawless, her eyes was a mix of blue and green but was bright then my own eyes, her hair was damp wet, sticking to her skin and was nearly as white as the snow is, her lips was wet from being in the lake and was in the shade of a light pink colour. She looks innocent and sweet where I can see and stand. I want to reach out and talk to her but I'm afraid if it's my mind playing tricks on me.

I step back but as I did my foot slipped, but I also felt someone push me, the hands that push me gave me a cold shiver when down my spine, I did not had enough time to catch myself or pull myself up, but I heard my name screaming, calling me, it did not come from Eldric but another male voice I'm not sure who. I did not have enough time to look.

The cold lake water make its way up my body it was cold, but my eyes was shut but I feel surrounded by the lake water on my face, my hair floating about. I feel relax and calm like no one could hurt me here. The sound of voices around me humming, singing, like my mother would of sang to me, but it was loud, and it echo everywhere I hear it come from. A pair of hands was place on my cheeks, and I felt a pair of lips press against mine I open my eyes to see the innocent women that is a siren and a few others around me with her.

"Hello child, we knew you would come for answers one day" She said. I was stunned to know they knew I was coming and want answers.

"My mother" I was talking under water that I never though was possible for a human.

"She has been missing for six years. I want to find her. I want to know who I am, who I truly am. I want to know where she is" I said. Every word tend to feel as a tear would fall down my cheek but all I feel is water everywhere on me.

"You will find her" The siren nodded to me with a slight smile as others swim around singing.

"How?" I asked her.

"The answer you seek will be past the wall you will walk; one you will survive you might die at one time. But what you seek will give you what you need, you might seek her in your dreams or reality. But the walk on the thine wall you must across, if not you might drown" She sang every word she said as the other sirens repeat and repeat as it echo around me, it was like a message to me. A message I must remember, or I will seek it myself.

Before I could say another word or think I was then being pulled up by my waist by a pair of strong arms. I'm not sure whose arms it was but when my face hit the sun light, and the birds was heard in my ear I was coughing the lakes water out of my mouth.

"Easy little hunter, easy" Xavier. How did he get to us so quickly.

Eldric reach his hand out and pull me up as I knee of the grass.

"I told you; you were meant to leave at dawn with me not with Eldric" Xavier said as I catch my breathe.

Eldric pat my back as I took breathe in, and out.

"Well without you I just got a few clues and answers where my mother might be" I said glaring up at Xavier who glare down at me crossing his arms as his wet long hair hang from his shoulders.

"Wait you spoke to the sirens?" Eldric asked me, I nodded to him.

"What did they say?" Xavier asked coldly to me which I wish he could drop for five minutes or so.

"They did not really say but it was more like a riddle in a song" I said, Xavier scoff.

"A riddle in a song? What is this a children's song?" Xavier chuckle annoyed while my blood is boiling hot of him.

"She said: The answer you seek will be past the wall you will walk; one you will survive you might die at one time. But what you seek will give you what you need, you might seek her in your dreams or reality. But the walk on the thine wall you must across, if not you might drown" I look up at the two elves after I said that and look at them both who I can tell are trying to find a meaning to what is said.

"We need to tell Glassandra" I said to them both who share a look between each other before looking back down at me.
