CLARITY
If I ever though I would be wearing a long dress to a dinner event I would have killed myself. But it's not like I dislike wearing dresses, it's because most of the eleven years I have worn combats.
As Orianna and I walked down the hall we share small talk on the way but all I could think about is if my mother were an elf and if I am one as well.
It seems crazy to think about that, but I need to find my mother and I will do all it takes to have her back.
"Heads up you might have loads of eyes on you when you walk through these doors" Orianna warned me. I look at her while raising a brow.
"Why would I?" I asked her with a slight chuckle in my voice.
"Well, it's not like every day we have someone new come here and they might think you are just original human" She said her eyes scan my body up and down.
But to me I am human, and everyone has humanity in them even when you are an elf.
"But I am an original human" I said to her with a bit confusing on what she means.
"Keep telling yourself that" Orianna said.
She then push the doors open and inside was lit up in candles and tables set with about a thousand elves there. The smell of food hit my nose straight away as I step foot in.
But as I did all heads turn to me while I followed Orianna to were she is going to sit. I heard some whispering about me or even looking at me a scared or curious look on most of their faces.
"Alright the show is over get back to you dinner or do you want it stuffed into your faces" Glassandra raise her voice and then everyone got back to what they were doing before I even walked in.
"I'm glad you made it Clarity" Glassandra told me giving me a smile her way, I smile back.
"You can sit we won't bit, unless you want us to" A girl with blonde hair and black strips in her hair with bangs said giving me a half smile, half smirk.
I laugh nervously as I sit down on one side of Orianna and the other side from the young elf with grey hair from earlier I saw.
"So, you're the reader huh?" The girl asked leaning on the table to listen to me.
"Correction I'm the hunter that was kidnapped by that dickhead who is staring at the side of my head" I said with a bit of gritting my teeth.
Xavier has been staring at me since I walked into the hall and has not tear, he's eyes away from me.
I don't get what he's problem is with me. But all he has done was kidnapped me and might have wanted to send he's sister to kill me.
"I did not kidnap you I brought you here" He said as I turn to him with a glare which he sent me a cocky smirk my way.
"It's still the same thing and you even broke my bow" I said still upset about my bow. The grey hair young elf next to me snicker into his goblet glass.
I loved my bow with every bit of it and now I don't have it with me.
"You're the one ran away when you saw my ears" He said. I chuckle shaking my head while biting my bottom lip.
"Are you always this annoying or are you just looking to be the centre of attention?" I asked which when dead silence. I never noticed that the people sat around us were watching us with an amuse look on their face.
"I love you already, Hespeta Silverstone from the Vale" The blonde introduced herself to me.
"I'm-" I started.
"We know who you are, Glassandra told us you will be training with us. By the way can we keep her Glass" Hespeta said.
"She's not a toy Hes" The young elf next to Hespeta said.
"Shut up, Eldric of course you would say the something like that" She said giving the elf Eldric a little glare.
Orianna then lean against my ear and whisper in my ear while we watch the two in front bicker between each other.
"You get use to them they do this all the time" Orianna whisper to me as I turn to look at her.
"All the time?" I asked her.
Then the grey hair male then lean in between our conversation.
"It's amusing but I wouldn't be surprised if they are already fucking each other" My eyes grew wide once those words left, he's lip.
"Valerian! Leave the innocent alone!" Orianna shout which Valerian put he's hands up in surrender.
"Or mates" Valerian said amuse face on while Orianna glare at Valerian.
One thing she got right is I never had sex, never falling in love. Most of my life I had not have the time when I turned sixteen. I did spend time together with males but none of them made me feel anything.
Dinner then finish and as most of the elves pack up to leave, I waited with Orianna so we can walk back to our rooms together.
"Clarity" Hespeta called my name as I turn to face her skipping over to me.
"So, at eleven me Orianna and Eldric are going to the small village called Mire village there is music, dancing, shops, and drinks there it is fall on light and magic and it's very beautiful; you should come with us" Hespeta asked but it was more of a request she wants me to go.
"I would love-" I was then cut off by that annoying prince of an elf.
"-No, she's not going anywhere at all" He said crossing he's arms over he's chest.
"What?" Both Hespeta and I said at the same time.
As if he can stop me from going somewhere I want to go and been invited it's like he thinks he owns me.
"She's got training tomorrow and it is late to be out there" He said making me chuckle.
"Well, I can take care of myself and I'm with Hespeta, Orianna and Eldric so I say what I can do" I said with a smug look on my face.
Xavier look red in the face and he's fist was white by how hard he was squeezing he's fist. He then walked away from us as we both stand there trying not to laugh.
But for once I felt like I have someone I can talk to.
