(Clarity)
The next dawn rise in the afternoon. I had my cuts and bruises covered and check out by the healer after my trial. For now, I was sitting under the tree with Hespera and Orianna down by the river stream where no elves can find us. Just having us girls together before we have to part and say goodbye.
Orianna and Hespera were giggling and showing of there powers to each other while I sit and look at the steam. I wonder if I ever would figure out what power I have. I don't want to feel different then I was back in Riverwood village, I was always different around other people, and I don't want to feel different like I was before.
"Come on Hes, grow a flower instead of a weed this time" Orianna said getting excited. Hespera rolled her eyes.
"You with wanting flowers with my powers, I think it was meant to be for you to have plant growing powers" Hespera said before she closed her eyes, breathing in and out. She repeat that retherm a few times until we see her growing beautiful and long flowers, different colours and several types but they look beautiful.
"Beautiful" I mutter under my breathe but also loud enough for the girls to hear.
"They'll really are" Orianna said in awe.
If powers and magic are so much special and magical then what was my mothers powers if she had one. I know now that every elves were born with powers so what was my mothers.
"Do you think my mother had a power?" I asked my new friends I can call them friends. Orianna and Hespera turn their heads to look at me.
"It would be real stupid if she didn't" Orianna said getting a light hit in the arm by Hespera.
"What I mean to say no one was born without powers at all" Orianna said. If we were all born with powers, then why have I not have any.
"If you say every elf is born with powers then why don't I have a power?" I asked, I look down at my wrist where the elf mark, they say is on.
"They just not kick in yet" Hespeta said with a smile sweetly on her face.
"Mine didn't kick in till I was nine years old, my grandmother freaked out when her chambers room was cover in plants, she raised me, and she helped me" Hespeta said looking down with a smile.
"Mine didn't kick in till I was eleven after my mother died" Orianna explain. I feel bad for these girls I don't really know lost their parents and I'm looking for my mother even though I don't even know if I have a father out there.
"You're powers will kick in" Hespeta said nodding to herself but trying to assure me.
"Or not at all" Orianna said, she has been kind of weird all day, but Hespeta did say I will get use to Orianna's ups and downs she has.
"No, I am certain if you have the elf mark like us then you are an elf. Your powers will kick in and you will have ears like us. Your not a human or a reader you are an elf Clarity" Hespeta said. She was looking at me as she said every single word to me.
The elf ear thing sound creepy, I don't want to have pointy ears, but I want to know where I came from, who I really am.
At some point I was lost humming to Saga in her little bed she sleeps, she had a little animal cuddle toy wrapped in her arms, my fingers tend to bush through her hair. The song I was humming was a familiar song my mother sang to me to keep me safe and sound and to forget about the monster that were told.
The candle light in Saga room was turn down low but she wanted to keep it on to feel warm and safe.
"Clarity?" Saga called my name as I was about to quietly leave without waking Saga up.
"Hm?"
"You are really brave" I smiled at her.
"Thank you" My fingers gently smooth her hair out of her face that dare falls in front of her eyes.
"I want to be just like you. Brave, courage, smart, loyal" She listed the things she see me as. She wants to be just like me, but she is more than just me.
"You don't need to be like me to be those things" I said, she look up at me with her eyes fall of stars.
"Why don't you get some sleep, okay?" She nodded. I walked to her door.
"I'm going to miss you when you go above the mountains" Her innocent voice sounded sad. I turn to look at her.
"Me too" I nodded.
"But I will be here when I come back and by the mean time Orianna will look out for you" I said to her.
"Good night, Clarity" Her tired and sweet voice said with a yawn in between.
"Sleep dreams" I said before I close the door when Saga drift off.
It feel like I am a mother with Saga and looking out for her, those feelings makes me want my mother. I crave for her.
And knowing a little will be waiting for me when I get back.
I must win.
