(Clarity)
The smell of the burning fire from last night woke me up. I sat up from where I was sleeping on the coach that night. The sound of the morning birds singing. I let a long sigh leave my lips as I run my fingers through my messy hair from the night before. I through Xavier might come back for me, but I was wrong. He left me out here alone with just the warm fire and the cottage to keep me safe from the outside world.
My throat was dry up, I could use some water to get rid of the dry lump down my throat. I stand up and place the pillow back to it's rightful place. The cottage reminds me so much back at home and it gives me flashbacks to when I do things on my own without anyone around me, I was alone. And I am alone again.
Walking into the kitchen I found a glass on the side; I grab a hold of it and run to the sink turning the tap on and fill the water from the glass. I drown my glass down and did not come up for until the glass was half empty. I gasp after I drunk it, it was not like the rivers water I drunk from that is fresh, but it will have to do.
Xavier never took back his cloak from last night, it was still sitting on the seat I sat last night before he left. I will have to return it to him when I get back to Mireworth Fortess.
As I straighten my dress out, putting my heels from last nights ball I wrapped the cloak around myself and put the hood up, I still need to stay hidden who knows everyone seems to know me and want me. No, they know my mother so I'm the close key to them they want.
As I turn my head to the side ready to leave this cozy cottage, I will return back again. On the floor I saw a bow and arrow. Someone must have left it here long ago. Walking over to it and picking it up the feeling off the bow feels as it has not been use in years or even decades, it feels new against the tips of my fingers. It was not like my old one I use that got broke and left back in Riverwood village. And the smell of the bow smells like old wood, feels as it belongs to me.
Without hesitation I place the bow over my shoulders and pick the arrows up in the case. I could use a bow right now as Xavier took my sword and left with no weapons. He left me while there is a war heading our way a war that could happened any day now or any moon. I'm going to be ready and will end this battle.
Opening the wooden door to the cottage and the first thing I feel was the fresh air. I breathe in, inhaling the air that hits my face and exhale. I look around with the sun out with a slight smile on my face, not fall as I am piss that Xavier left me here to defend for myself not like I have done in the past anyway. I turn quickly around looking at the cottage one last time, the smash fruit bowl lies on the floor, but I'll be back to clean the mess up after everything is over and done with.
With a sigh, I close the door behind me and start walking off the small path and into the trees, all the green grass. It's where I belong, it's where I am happy, it is where I am free. My voice is fond deep in trees that most people would question who the voice belongs to. While I walk deep into the forest with the breeze on my face, my worries faded in the back. I did not fear anything or worry about anything, it was just me and myself like it has always been from the start. It's as it always has been, having no one but myself to trust, no friends, no foes, no enemies. It's what I wanted from the very begin of my story.
But my moment with myself always gets ruined with something. I turn around with a gasp after hearing something. I saw nothing. Again, I heard again. I start to circle around trying to see what beast has come to attack the wrong girl.
"That's the girl who killed our friends with her friends" The sound of grumbling talking all too familiar was heard.
"The Demon Kings wants her; she looks just what he describes her" I rolled my head back getting annoyed at all the people want me. Who cares! I am not special then you think.
"If your "King" you say wants me why don't come and find me himself!" I shout out getting the bow and the arrows.
Just as my words lave my lips those Demon Elves that I was attacked on the way back to Mireworth Fortess jumped out from where they were hiding in the bush. Two of them were ready to attack me or even take me.
The first one was ready to jump on me I aimed my arrow at him and just that I shot it right in the chest. Instead of going into ashes it when into burning flames of fire before it hen down to ash. That never happened before. I spung around just in time for the other one to attack and shot it as fast as I can and did the same as it did with the other one.
I stopped as I catch my breath, my hands shaking from facing these Demon Elves on my own. If this war won't end sooner, I'll be the one shooting myself.
I through I would be able to head back now safe, but I then heard a twig snap. Quickly I got out an arrow and turn around and shoot. It was not a Demon Elf but instead it was Valerian, he duck quickly before the arrow could hit him. He had his eyes wide open in shocked after what I did as he look at the tree then back at me with his hands out to restore me.
"Woah! I must say nice shot" Valerian said, I relax the bow as I let a sigh relief to see someone that is not a Demon Elf.
"Thank the mother nature it's you, Valerian! Sorry about the arrow" I said.
"Ah, that's nothing" Valerian wave it off. It feels good to talk to someone other than your mind.
"What are you doing here?" I asked Valerian, my brows frown in curious that he is out here and not out in the training yard.
"Hespera when to your chambers earlier but you were not here, we have been looking for you and Glassandra is going to go mad because you left without telling anyone" Valerian explain. So, Xavier did not say I was with him last night.
"Then I guess we better go before anymore Demon Elves start arriving" I said coming to stand next to Valerian.
"Yeah, I just bath this hair last night; I'm ready for sweat and dirt on these curly locks" Valerian pointed out. I giggle at Valerian words making my cheeks grew high up.
Valerian and I started walking back side by side while I explain on the way on what happened last night and what I saw, and I even told Valerian about how Xavier abandon me.
But if Demon Elves keep coming and going all the time, I'm out then the war is close by and as along as I am safe with the others and Mireworth Fortess then they can't catch me yet.
If it's a game they want to play, then let the game begin.
