CLARITY
A cold shiver when up my spine, up my arms, the back of my neck as I feel the eyes of every male and female elf on me. I rub my arm as I stood near the drinking table alone. Hespeta when off to talk to Eldric, I wanted time alone to myself that I told her. She understood.
I had my back turned away as I heard footsteps approach me, but I did not turn around until they start talking.
"Clarity Riverwood," I turn around to be face with a male with a tight jawline, golden eyes and long brown hair that was done in a half man bun. He was gorgeous but I never seen him before.
"I heard a lot about you" He came and stand next to me.
"You have?" I asked the first thing to him; he finish his glass before setting down on the table.
"The reader that can see elves" I chuckle at his words. Never get old does it.
"Is that what everyone seems to call me now?" I raise my brow making a grin appear on his face.
"I'm Lucius from the Summer Court" He reach out his hand for me to take.
"Clarity, but you already know that" We both chuckle at my words. I accept his hand as he bow his head and gave a kiss on the top of my palm. It send a shiver down my arm; my heart was beating out my chest and felt my face burn up.
"So, what brings you here, to above the mountains, Lucius?" I asked, I pick up a glass of elven wine and took a sip out of it.
"Just come to see that trials, I must say that beast could have had your head off" He said. He came to see me in these trials.
"I'm flattered" I said biting my bottom lip with a smile.
"Where were you from before you arrive in Mireworth Fortess?" He asked.
"In a village call Riverwood I grew up there" I explain. I felt eyes on me it was not just Lucius golden eyes on me, but it was someone else's. A pair I know all too well to suck the soul out of me.
"I hope I see you again after your last trial" He said.
"I hope I survive the last trial first" I said with a shy smile on my face.
"You will, you'll win" He said.
"Well, I hope to see you again" I said. I want to see him again after the trials, but I don't know when.
"You should visit the Summer Court sometime" He said but the sound on his voice sound like a demand then a question. I shake it off.
"I'll have to see I'm kind of on a quest as I am in the trials" I said I play with the chain around my neck with my fingers.
"What kind?" He asked.
"My mother, she's missing" I said.
"Ah," He said.
"Shame mine our dead" He said, my face fell, sorrow written on my face.
"I'm sorry" I said my hand over my heart.
"Don't be all parents die to give the new decade a chance. Yours might be dead too" He said, but I won't believe it. I know she's alive.
"Would you care for a dance?" Lucius asked, his hand out for me to take.
"Uh" I said, I can't dance. I never dance in my life. I was never like the girls in my village that dance, but again I let Hespeta drag me to dance in Mire village and let her lead me to dance.
