Chapter Thirty Eight

"Can you slow down, your walking too fast" Ever since we left Above the Mountains I have been piss lately. Ever since Clarity and I had are fight. I know she hates me but my blood boils with her.

"Well, you can try and catch up to us" I look back giving her a smirk who glare at me walking back. Eldric and Hespera were walking in front of her.

Once we get back the sooner I can get back to training and hopefully Clarity can stop causing trouble around and leave to find her mother to Glassandra.

"Who made your ass get all grumpy" She said to me, I chuckle quietly to myself. I am not even grumpy. But seeing Lucius lips on her's makes me want to turn back and beat the shit out of him while dragging his ass to the siren river.

I moved a brunch out of my view while storming through the grass, past the trees. The wind blew my hair to my side making it touch my neck a cold shiver touch my neck, but it felt nothing to me.

"Assprick" I heard her mumble in a whisper to herself. I rolled my eyes as I came to a stop.

Something does not feel right.

Eldric came to stand next tome as my eyes wonder around the forest.

"What is it?" Eldric asked. I grab my sword drawing it out.

"Somethings here" I'm not sure if it is something or someone.

The sound of bush rattling and sticks snapping left gasping around.

"Stand together" I order. Eldric and Hespera draw their sword, but Clarity stand confuse. God damn it!

"Clarity! Draw your sword!" I shout as she stood there. She look at me with a huff in her voice.

She then draw her sword and press her back to Hespera as we are circle around with our backs to each other waiting to see what is going to jump out in our danger.

"What is it?" Clarity asked.

"Probably a monster" Eldric answer to her. But my through is it's going to be something worst then a monster.

We looking trying to catch our eyes on anything, the rattling in the bushes stop as it when silent. We wait just in case something comes out for a surprise.

Just as I said three of them jumped out, I swing my sword on the first one trying to slice it through. They were demon elves. They have found us here. Demon eyes there skin looks as it is wrinkly old and been burned, there teeth look too sharp that we have to watch out for not sink into our skins.

"Demon Elves!" I shout out. Swords swinging and in active move.

I slice the whole body down as in when into dust after I did that there is two more to go.

"That's the girl" One of the demon elves grumble to the other. They were pointing at Clarity who had her back to Eldric.

"Get her" The other grumble. Like hell they would.

I ran and flipped over to stand in front of the demon elf who try to past me. My eyes darken as I slice it's arms off then cut through its stomach until it was in dust.

"The demon King wants you" The only one standing try to grab Clarity but she kicked him right in the face that would make its teeth fall out.

"Like hell I'll go with you cunt" She spat out I chuckle at her words.

I slide under it's legs cutting them off. Clarity push it back with her boot before slice it's throat, black blood pour out with dust. I finish the job by slicing it's stomach open.

It maybe three but how many will come.

"Is everyone alright" I asked once I see every catch their breathe.

"Yeah" I hear form Eldric and Hespera.

I turn my head where Clarity look down where that demon elf was then lying, she was breathing heavy.

"Are you alright?" I whisper, asked her putting a gentle hand on her shoulder.

"I just slutter some demon elves for the first time what else can get even more worst?" I chuckle at her words, at least she still has her humour in herself.

"They were after Clarity" I turn to say to Eldric and Hespera.

"Why?" Hespera asked, I can see Clarity is confused as much as we are all.

"The Demon King wants her" I answer looking into her confuse violet eyes.

We need to get back to Mireworth Fortess and inform Glassandra straight away.

Clarity might be in danger again. She might be right, and someone might be after to kill her.
