The battlefield roared with a cacophony of clashing weapons and desperate cries. Government soldiers clashed fiercely, their shouts mingling with the sounds of the place where Keevin fought. Keevin dashed toward Thanatos, but the demon lord tackled him to the ground with a swift and brutal force. As they grappled fiercely, Thanatos managed to pin Keevin down, forcing his face into the dirt while the demon lord tried to lock him in place.
"ARGHHH!" Keevin shouted, struggling beneath Thanatos's weight. "Get off me, demon!"
Thanatos grinned wickedly, his voice dripping with malice. "Shut up, elf!" he snarled. Keevin writhed, trying to break free but finding it impossible. "Your blood is mine," Thanatos continued with a sneer, "as I suppose you're the last of elfkind. Hahaha."
But Keevin smiled, a defiant light in his eyes. This caught Thanatos off guard. "Hahaha, you are such a fool," Keevin laughed, his voice filled with an unexpected confidence.
"What? How can you laugh when you're on the verge of death?" Thanatos asked, confused.
Keevin locked eyes with him, his gaze fierce. "Now!" he shouted.
A blinding ray of light pierced through Thanatos's chest, striking him at the heart. The demon lord collapsed, and Keevin swiftly stood up, casting "Ulivida Sanctum." Lightning crashed down upon Thanatos, electrifying the air with its intensity.
Keevin turned toward a nearby tree, his eyes softening as he approached Atlas. "I knew you could do it, Atlas," he murmured, pulling him into a tight embrace. With trembling hands, Atlas replied, "Please don't make me do this again; I was afraid of losing you."
Keevin kissed him gently, reassuring him with a smile. "Look, I'm still here, right?"
Atlas blushed, playfully punching Keevin's stomach. Together, they began to move away from the battle scene, a momentary peace settling between them.
But their respite was short-lived. "Ugh... uhukk... uhukk," came a coughing sound from behind. They turned, shock evident on their faces as they saw Thanatos rising. "But how?" Atlas gasped.
Keevin's expression grew serious. "I knew it was too easy. Now he's really mad," he muttered to himself.
The air grew thick with dark energy as all the demons in Cleveland were drawn toward Thanatos. As he absorbed their souls, his rage erupted, shaking the ground beneath them. Atlas tried to form a protective barrier, but the force of Thanatos's roar was too powerful. It knocked Atlas back, sending him crashing into a tree. Keevin rushed to help, but a shadowy hand emerged from the ground, holding him in place. Thanatos spread his arms wide, a malevolent grin on his face, and flew toward Keevin, slashing at him with lethal precision.
Blood spurted from Keevin's wounds as he fell to his knees, gasping for breath. Government soldiers witnessing the scene charged toward the demon lord, but in an instant, they were cut down, their bodies lifeless and bloodied.
"No... no... no... nooo," Atlas sobbed, tears streaming down his face as he witnessed the massacre. Thanatos slowly approached Keevin, grabbing his head with a cruel smile. "I've underestimated you. You're worthy to see my true form."
Keevin glared up at him. "Begone, you vile demon."
Just as Thanatos raised his blade to strike, Atlas's eyes glowed with a fierce light. "I won't let you do that, you bastard!" he shouted, flying toward Keevin and severing Thanatos's hand with a swift strike. Thanatos recoiled in shock. "How could you know this ancient magic?" he demanded.
Atlas ignored him, raising his hand and pointing at the demon lord. "Krinatpatayon!" he cried, unleashing a powerful beam of light that scorched Thanatos. The demon lord howled in pain, cursing, "I should've killed you earlier, you damn brat!"
The battle raged on, Atlas growing weary with each passing moment. Keevin, noticing his fatigue, shouted, "No! Your body can't take it! Stop, Atlas!" But Atlas pushed on, his resolve unwavering. Suddenly, his magic faltered, and Thanatos seized the opportunity, a cruel smile spreading across his face. "Now's my chance," he murmured.
"Acrae Darknum," he intoned, summoning a shadowy spear that began moving toward Atlas. The spear drew closer, the demon lord's laughter echoing ominously, as Keevin's screams faded into silence. "Is this how I'm going to die?" Atlas whispered, despair filling his voice.
A sudden, sharp sound pierced the air. "SCHARRRKKKK!" The sound of stabbing reverberated across the battlefield. Blood splattered everywhere, and a heavy silence fell over the chaos.
Atlas opened his eyes, his heart sinking as he saw Keevin above him, the shadow spear impaled through his heart. "No, this isn't happening," Atlas cried, cradling Keevin's face in his hands. Slowly, Keevin's body slumped, and Atlas caught him, holding him close as the world seemed to collapse around them.
