Atlas lay on his bed, eyes fixed on the framed photograph of him and Keevin. “Keevin,” he murmured softly as sleep began to pull him under. The stars outside glowed brightly, their light spilling into his room as the night breeze whispered through the open window. A faint smile touched Atlas's lips as he drifted into dreams.

But slowly, the brightness of the stars faded, swallowed by an encroaching darkness. Atlas stirred, his peaceful slumber shattered by the sound of distant screams. His eyes snapped open, heart pounding. He leapt from the bed and rushed to the window, only to see flames devouring the houses around him.

“What the hell is happening?” Atlas shouted, his voice thick with shock.

The door burst open, and Gildarts appeared, his face etched with urgency. “Son, are you okay? We need to leave, NOW!” Without hesitation, Atlas followed his father’s command and hurried outside.

Chaos reigned in the streets. The guild members were desperately trying to douse the flames that threatened to consume the entire town.

“Atlas!” a voice called out, cutting through the cacophony. Atlas turned, searching the crowd. “Atlas! Over here!” Darren's voice guided him, and he rushed to his friend’s side, joining the fight against the inferno.

Hours later, the fire was finally extinguished, and the town was saved, though the air remained thick with the acrid smell of smoke.

“Phfuuuu… What the hell happened?” Atlas asked, his breath ragged as he turned to Darren.

“Another portal opened,” Darren replied, still catching his breath. “But it’s strange—how could a demon portal open in the middle of town? Isn’t that unheard of?”

Atlas frowned, his mind racing. “A portal, here?” he muttered to himself. “Portals are usually found in forests or near abandoned towns…”

“That’s exactly what I was thinking,” Darren said. “But I have a feeling it’s connected to our last mission—the Cleveland incident.”

A sudden, dark thought crossed Atlas’s mind. “It could be,” he said, voice low. “Where is this portal?”

“In the southern part of town. Come on, I’ll show you,” Darren replied, leading the way.

They arrived at the location, only to find the portal vanishing before their eyes.

“What the—?” Atlas cursed, frustration and disbelief mingling in his voice. “What the hell is going on?”
