CHAPTER 45: SILENT OBSERVATION
Creed watched Atlas's reaction towards Melisa, standing in silence. He glanced at the way Atlas embraced her, noting the physical closeness they shared.
“Atlas! Why didn’t you tell me you were coming here?” Melisa exclaimed, playfully hitting Atlas on the shoulder.
“Well, I didn’t even know I’d end up here, actually,” Atlas replied, a hint of embarrassment in his voice.
“Liar,” Melisa teased, turning her attention to Creed. “Oh, who is this person here?” she added with curiosity.
“This is Creed, my friend,” Atlas introduced.
“Oh, nice to meet you,” Melisa said, extending her hand to shake Creed’s.
“Where is Isabelle?” Atlas asked, looking around for her. “I thought she’d be with you today,” he added.
“She’s been very busy lately, especially with the Moon Festival coming up this month,” Melisa replied.
“Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that. When is it happening this month?” Atlas asked.
“30th November, X222,” Melisa informed him.
“Oh, that’s just 17 days from now,” Atlas noted.
“Yes, that’s true! Isn’t Brokestorm also preparing for it?” Melisa continued.
Atlas thought about his father and how excited he used to be during the Moon Festival. A cheerful smile spread across his face as he answered, “Well, I’m not so sure about that, but I believe my father is still excited about it. Haha!”
They both shared a warm smile. “Why don’t you come to my house for a while?” Melisa suggested. “I would love to!” Atlas replied eagerly.
They all headed to Melisa's house. Upon arrival, Atlas was amazed by how beautifully she had decorated it. He noticed a picture hanging on the wall, showing the four of them—Isabelle, Melisa, Atlas, and Keevin—standing side by side, arms around each other. Creed stared at the picture, lost in thought.
