CHAPTER 79: Lust
As the library incident concluded, Larcade vanished, leaving Darren and Atlas to grapple with the weight of his revelations.
“I think we should head home,” Atlas suggested.
“Yeah,” Darren agreed.
On their way, they passed a lively tavern where Creed, Gildarts, and Nowell were enjoying drinks. Creed, ever the center of attention, deftly avoided advances from admirers, his sharp eyes catching sight of Atlas.
“You’re drunk,” Atlas remarked as Creed stumbled over to him.
“Who says I’m drunk?” Creed retorted, wobbling slightly.
“Tell me what time it is, then,” Atlas teased, pointing to a clock on the wall.
Creed squinted at it, muttering incoherently. Atlas couldn’t suppress his laughter. “Let’s get you home, buddy,” he said, wrapping an arm around Creed’s waist.
Once home, Atlas struggled to haul Creed to the couch before collapsing himself. Exhausted, he grabbed a towel and headed for a shower.
Moments later, a noise from outside startled him. Opening the door, he found Creed standing there, unsteady but resolute.
“Creed, are you okay?”
Creed’s eyes burned with an intensity Atlas hadn’t seen before. “Can I… have a taste of you?”
Atlas flushed, trying to push Creed away, but the demon was unyielding. As moonlight bathed the room, Creed leaned in, capturing Atlas in a passionate kiss.
Their movements became a dance of desire, Creed leaving marks on Atlas as if claiming him. Breathless, Atlas managed to gasp, “You reek of alcohol.”
Without a word, Creed darted to the bathroom, returning with fresh breath and renewed energy.
“This is going to be a long night,” Atlas muttered nervously, his face flushed.
As passion consumed them, Creed’s fangs grazed Atlas’s neck, drawing blood and sealing their bond in the most intimate way.
