It was peace in standing still, it was peace in not fighting, it was peace in not fearing the dark. You took down the saber, hanging it back on your hip. The murder behind Jecki's life still held on to their lightsaber. It was screaming. The murder stopped only two meters in front of you. He was a man, you could sense it on his heart beat. What you couldn't sense was his mind. You could sense he was wearing a mask, and your assumption would be that whatever that mask was created of blocked his mind off from you.
"You want something from me," your voice projected a sense of confidence, dignity.
The man stepped closer, leaving no space between you two. You kept your gaze forward, until he lifted your chin up. You could sense the death of the dathomirians on his fingertips.
"Always much smarter than the rest," his words spoke like he knew you, but his tone was twisted and filtered, making him a stranger to you
"You killed my master's padawan," you stated.
You knew what you needed to do. You needed to get the mask off him, it was the only way you would be able to read his full story. To do so you needed to stall him, get him close. The latter was already in the works. Now you just needed time to read his movement habits.
"You sure, you're not still Master Sol's little padawan?" The stranger tried to threaten you, stepping towards you, but quickly stopped when he sensed you were not scared. You stood still. His words tried to hurt you, but as a Jedi you didn't let your emotions cloud you.
"Why?" You simply asked, not wanting to give power over to him.
The stranger's hand, brushed your chin. Deep down, even he had to admit he was impressed you hadn't lifted your lightsaber yet. You could've given him lethal wounds, simply by turning it on from your distance.
"I had wished for you to come here first," the stranger echoed.
"So you could've killed me first?" Your voice was emotionless, not giving in to the weight of your own words.
The Stranger smiled under his mask at his new realizeation, you did not fear death.
"I had never planned to kill you," He could not stop himself from letting his finger tips brush your cheek. He leaned down. You were not like the other Jedi he encountered. He could not scare you, cause you couldn't see him. He could not read your mind, cause you were strong enough to protect it. You were like him.
The Stranger grew close to you. His body language said more than his mind ever could. He somehow valued you. Not only because you had something he wanted, but because of who you were. He had a personal attachment to you. He only made the mistake of thinking you had one for him. In one swift movement, you ignited your lightsaber, and due to how close he had positioned himself to you, it was easy to unmask him.
Qimir. It was Qimir. This dark soul in front of you. It was him. He had killed Jecki. The dathomirians.
You felt the anger pour out from The Stranger, as he reached out to the force, moving you up to his level, as his hand went around your throat. Throwing you off balance, your lightsaber touched his neck, before he threw it away. Even when air slowly was getting thinner in the grip of Qimir, your thought's went to the harm you must have caused him. You didn't need to open your eyes to understand you must had hurt him badly with your saber. It got harder and harder to breath, as your body stopped fighting the force. Maybe this was your time, it was definitely your fault.
"Y/n!" You suddenly heard Master Sol shout as you could sense him and Yord coming running in.
They felt different, different than before. The force must had tested them in ways they weren't prepared for. They didn't feel as strong as before, but even a Jedi at not full capacity, was more than enough to give you hope. Hope that this might not be your finale breath. You sensed Qimir ignite his lightsaber, as he grabbed your whole body up towards his own, holding the lightsaber up against your throat.
