Was the mind sane? You began to doubt it more and more the longer you stayed on Coruscant. Temptations were all around. A Jedi was supposed to avoid them, but a part of you couldn't resist them. Truth was, you had missed hanging out with Elzar. He rooted you, in a way few were able to do. Perhaps the only one who had been able to do so before was Yord. Where you felt doubt about your identity as a Jedi, he reminded you that it was all your journey to take, for no one else to judge.
His fingertips were on your chin, and your eyes bore into his hand. It had been so long since you felt his touch on your skin. It was warm, against your cold skin. Slowly, he brushed your cheek, before he pulled his hand back. Your eyes were glowing as you looked up at him. A smile appeared on his lips, before he sat down beside you in the bed and grabbed your book out of your hands.
"Hey," You shouted, laughing.
"C'mon, let me read what you've been writing," He laughed.
You sat up on your knee, and tried to hover him to reach the book, however, Elzar was a lot taller than you. You stood no chance against him. Especially since you tried to avoid his skin, or even looking at him. He was laughing, enjoying the sight of your frustration. You finally gave in, and grabbed the bicep of his strong arms, as you pulled him back, and reached for it. Elzar couldn't stand his own cruelty, and finally pulled his hand down, letting you grab the book out of him. Without you first noticing, he placed his other hand around you.
"Thank you," You laughed, looking into his eyes.
Perfectly blue, just like the ocean.
"You know I always prefer you reading it to me," Elzar pointed out.
Smooth. Elzar was always smooth with it. Probably a big reason why you were far from the first lady he had been able to catch the heart to. He knew what he was doing, or at least that's what you had convinced yourself he was. Maybe it was just him, his natural self with his charm. It wasn't like he only had it with the women. Your fingers tapped the book, considering his wish.
"It's not finished yet," You whispered with a smile.
"Okay," Elzar didn't push.
Damn it, why did he have to always be this gentle? He knew exactly how to treat you. Suddenly, you began to notice his hand on your arm, shaping small circles. You stared at the movement of his fingers. How long had his arm been wrapped around of your body. You looked back at him. It dawned upon you how bare he was. How little fabric covered his body. Only the towel wrapped around his waist. You closed your eyes and tried to clear your mind.
"I'm sorry we- we shouldn't" You woke up and removed yourself from the bed.
"What?" Elzar asked, leaning forward on the bed.
"This... this... we shouldn't" You shook your head.
Elzar was quiet, waiting for you to explain yourself. You swore under your breath, causing Elzar to laugh gently. You shook your head and pointed to him.
"Don't do that, don't laugh," You said.
