if you do not fear the darkness, the darkness will not consume you.The words you had spoken to Master Gios echoed in your mind. The others were gone. You were alone with the force. It didn't matter if your eyes were closed or opened, it all looked the same. With small and slow steps you kept walking forward with a steady pace.
"I'm one with the force, and the force is with me," you repeated the words, whispering them to existence. No longer was it a reminder to yourself, but a warning for anyone able to hear it.
Something was wrong, you felt a breeze, seconds later you sensed a being right in front of you. Most people would've been tempted to open their eyes, but not a jedi. You did not seek to give power to the dark creature. A smile softly grew on your lips. You lifted your hand up, showing the creature you were at peace, while the other went behind your robe, untying the fabric around your waist. You lifted the fabric up to the creature before tying it around your head, covering your eyes. You let your robe fall to the ground, showing your small but strong figure to the creature. You lifted up the palm of your hand.
"From darkness only light prevail" your voice was calm, confident at peace.
"How naive of the Jedi," the voice was dark, intimate. You could feel the creatures breath on your skin.
A laugh fell from your lips. You were many things, but naive was not one of them. You tilted your head up, so the creature could see your face. You did not fear it. You did not fear the dark. The dark should fear you.
"I wish for you to pass, so I can continue my walk," you warned him.
A sinister laugh echoed through the cave, almost making your air bleed if it wasn't for the force protecting you. Well, you had given the creature a chance. You stepped forward. The creature didn't move. You took another step forward. The creature stood still. You sensed it wanted something from you. Something it would've gotten from most Jedi by now, but not you.
The creature wanted you to light your saber. The creature wanted you to fight. Maybe that's what you should do. You were allowed to do so, this would be the same as defending yourself. Perhaps this was your moment of being naive, but that was not because you were a jedi. It was because you didn't believe in fighting the dark. The dark was for you to use.
"You desire for me to use my lightsaber," you stated, taking down your hand.
"Show me your anger," he demanded. You sensed an urge of excitement in the creature. Your hands moved to your hilt.
You unbuckled the hilt, as you slowly lifted up the hilt. Not wrapping it around your hand, not getting into position, but offering the saber out to the creature.
"If you believe the darkness to be cruel, of course the darkness will be cruel to you" you let the light saber drop from your hands into the air.
"But I do not fear the darkness, I embrace it," you whispered.
The cold metal hit the floor as the creature ceased to exist. The force was testing you, and for this round, you had succeeded. A warmth surrounded you. Your hands went behind your head, untying the fabric. You looked up. It was no longer pitch black. The force awarded you. With the force you lifted up your saber, connecting it to your waist. Took the robe and hood on as you quickly began to walk towards the flames.
Between the mountain high flames, an ancient building stood. If you were to guess, a temple. The force, it was strong here. Louder. Screaming. You sensed people inside of it, and you were praying it was your friends. It was a large set of stairs to get in, and when you first took a step into the temple a laser beam came shooting for you. Your reflexes shoot in as you release and enlighten your lightsaber protecting yourself from every shot, moving it in a shift motion. The shots came from any angle, meaning it was not machinery, but beings behind it. With the force on your side you climbed up the last steps.
