If the individuals had failed in the past, it was a chance, that their product, a child, could raise above their creator's failures. Somehow, they lived through their children. A child was hope.
You had lit a hope inside Qimir. The golden skies of Coruscant were flickering of the memory of the blue skies of his island. You were home, and deep down you had to admit, you had missed it. You were ready to go back to your library, you're writing and being a protector of the light. Lesser sweet on your mind was the thought of the chaos that would face you the second you stepped out of the ship. Somehow, your heart rather than your mind felt prepared.
As a Jedi, you were a protector of the light, but just as important, a champion of justice. It could be no peace, without justice, and you were ready for peace. You were ready to see Master Vernestra Rhow behind bars.
You pressed the button of the gate, as you stepped down. The veil of your Jedi uniform were hiding your eyes. You had no desire of letting them getting the pleasure of seeing you eternal. Hidden underneath the veil, to your chest, the ring was found. The hindrance of no visual sight didn't stop you from actually seeing. Everything could be seen through the force.
When your feet touch the golden temple floor, you could sense the crowd's breath silence. You ignored the cold, as you stamped through them. Their emotions were loud. A sense of fear was loud in the crowds. Suddenly you had become a stranger in your own home, at least for the people you didn't hold close.
"Master," Your dear former padawan graced you and bowed respectfully.
You smiled lightly at Bell's voice. You nodded, showing him you noticed. He began walking up with you, when he informed you of Elzar location. Elzar was with the council, holding onto Vernestra, waiting for your arrival. It explained the grand entrance you received. People were gathered outside, waiting for the verdict. Finally, you reached the private part of the hallway.
"You did not bring Qimir," Bell stated, stopping outside the wide doors.
Slowly you stopped, turned around and faced Bell. You knew you would be questioned about the lack of his presence, it was not of your concern. You knew what you would answer to the council. Bell's emotion were shining through. He was nervous, anxious. You placed a hand on his shoulder. He had gotten taller than you. You rubbed him lightly.
"Do not worry, Jedi Knight, your Master have a plan," You spoke softly, signaling for the guard behind him to open the door.
You turned around, as you stepped forward. Everyone grow stale, and you could sense Master Gios raise up, the rest of the Masters following his action, as tradition. The only warmth you could feel in the room was from Master Mann and Bell, the rest were icy or at best lukewarm. You bowed down for the Masters, showing them your grace, not that most of them deserved it.
"High council," You said elegantly.
"Your presence have been missed," Master Gios spoke, as the rest sat down.
"I find that hard to believe," Your tone was playful.
Eyes concealed, could not hide the smile apparent on your lips. Confidence was the key, and it didn't need to be faked. The truth gave you confidence. It was a natural act. Like peace had called upon you, as you finally knew the full picture. Now you simply had to let it play out.
