"You should've never had come," You said, looking over at Bell who sat in the pilot seat.
You meant it, as his former Master, you couldn't condone his actions. Elzar coming here was wrong enough, but Bell was still so young and with a bright future in The Order. Coming here, risked staining his well-kept reputation. You didn't wish to be the source of such pain for him. A stranger had attacked him, purely trying to get to you. It felt like you had put him in harms way too much already. Still, selfishly, you were grateful to see him.
"And let you handle those two crazy men alone? I don't think so," He joked.
"They are not...Elzar is not crazy," You laughed.
Bell took the ship in automatic, and looked over at you, dramatic as always in your presence.
"Crazy enough to love you," Bell lifted his eyebrows, studying you.
You began to hysterically laugh. Love? Did he just say that Elzar loved you? Bell had jokes, but this one was a bit too good to be true. But unlike before, Bell wasn't laughing with you, he looked you dead serious in the eyes. It got silent, when you realized he was being serious.
"And by your reaction, it seems like you like him too," He stated.
How could he be serious? Elzar did not love you. He and you were... friends. A very nurturing and loving friendship, but you weren't in love with each other. Of course, you had admitted even to Qimir that you were willing to go to pretty dark places simply protect him, but who wouldn't for a good friend? Okay... So you didn't kill Qimir for what he did to Yord, but that was different. You had changed since then. If it happened now, knowing what you do... You might actually have done it.
In your train of thoughts, you began to realize it was all excuses you were making up for yourself.
"Is it true what they say, that your in a relationship with darkness himself?" Bell asked.
There was perhaps your biggest difference. Bell could be awfully blunt in his questioning. When you were a padawan, and still now, you often preferred to be the one holding the cards. Often not asking until you knew the truth yourself, simply to see how people react to the truth. You swallowed. This was not a conversation you wanted to have with your former padawan. He should not know what a mess your life had grown into. You looked away from him, and leaned into your seat. How could he possibly understand. Still, you couldn't help but laugh at the way Bell described him.
"I am neither in relationship with either men, attachments are-" You looked over at your padawan, with a serious look.
"Attachment is a part of the dark side, I know... I didn't say you were, I only asked if it was true," Bell said crossing his hands.
"I don't think a relationship needs to be an attachment, though," Bell looked out the window.
"If anything, it's a connection, light," Bell said.
You began to laugh, and looked over at him.
