Qimir's heart broke, no? Was that all you had to say? You didn't even look at him. Your heart was open, your emotions at display. It was just the simple fact that you chose to display coldness to him, with a hint of disappointment rooted in you. Qimir didn't understand where it came from.
"The thing is...It wouldn't just be me and you in our relationship, would it?" You asked, your voice was soft, not showing any anger. It was time, the two of you needed to have an honest conversation about what was going on. You had hoped that over time, Qimir would just open up, but in this moment you had began to fear hat him asking for your hand was a part of the plan. You needed to know what was real, and what was just a simple illusion.
"What?" He asked confused, he missed feeling your gaze upon him.
"Did he lead you on to this path?" You began to laugh, but Qimir didn't see the humor in this situation. More than anything, he was confused who you were speaking of. He closed the hand with the ring, and put it back in his pocket. He felt ridiculous for thinking he would have a chance. The force was never on his side, he had to understand that. He got what he deserved. You slowly looked over at him.
"You don't think I know of your Master?" You asked, lifting your brow.
Qimir's face changed. An expression of horror washed over him. You were not supposed to... you were not supposed to know. It wasn't the plan. Was this why you said no? What had Plagiues told you? What exactly did you know? Without even thinking, he tried to reach into your mind, to see what you had seen, but before he could even catch a glimpse, your shield got high, as you stood up, in shock of what he had just tried.
"Qimir..." You looked down at him, you couldn't believe he tried to break your boundaries, the second you had begun to trust him.
"Y/n I didn't mean to-" He immediately stood up, his hands reaching out for you, but you backed off.
"But you did," You stated coldly.
Was this how shallow the two of you were? He didn't ask you a question, he just thought he could dig into your brain now? Wasn't it exactly that he hated about the order? How he felt like they just used him, and hurt him? Now he tried to do the same exact thing to you. You took a deep breath. You could sense he was genuine nervous, scared even. You swallowed. You had to be the better being, show him the true way of the force.
"What does it mean that it 'all begins with me' and what 'seed will grow' on the island?" Your voice was neutral, you straighten up. The lightsabers were maybe not attached to you, but it was no wonder, that it was a Jedi standing on the beach.
Qimir stared at you desperately for your forgiveness, until he heard your questions. His gaze dropped to the ground. It was only so much he knew, and he feared to speak out of order. You deserved the truth, even Qimir understood it was no way forward without it. He looked at the ocean, the sun was now gone. He chewed on the inner side of his mouth before he sat down. You luckily followed and sat down, but this time left a fair amount of distance. Qimir shrugged. Was it even anything to save?
"Darth Plagiues believes you're essential to the grand plan," It even hurt to say the words out loud. You no longer showed any emotion, but he could already imagine how disappointed you must be in him. If you weren't, he was.
