The silence was loud between the two of you. His eyes were drilling into the back of your head, as you tried to stir the ship. Both of you understood that whatever was going to happen down on the forcesaken planet, would not be spoken for. You had two wildy different plans, and it was up to the strongest of you to win. A deal both understood, but you struggled with.
A fear had crept inside of your mind, poisoning you with the fear of loosing Qimir. Not as in distance, but in the force taking him away from you. Distance you could deal with, but with another being taking his life, was not something you could turn a blind eye to. You had seen the anger in Master Sol's eyes. You could only pray to the force that he had softened up. Not only did you fear for Qimir's life, but you feared for your Master and friend too. You knew Qimir had a sincere desire to take their life at no stop, but you couldn't let any lifes go. The only way you wished for this to end was with the complete relic in your hand, and Qimir imprisoned. You tapped in the coordinates, let go off the wheel as you looked up at Qimir.
"The relic we're looking out for, how does it look? What does it do?" You asked, looking over at him. Your voice was cold, not revealing any emotions.
Qimir looked over at you, surprised by your question.
"They don't even let you look at the relic you've been searching for?" He asked, not intending to sound as demanding as the words came out.
Your eyes dropped to the floor, and you tighten your jaw. Ouch, must have been a touchy spot. He knew that the council weren't in your favor, so much you had told him, but you hadn't specified to what extent. He sensed a slight annoyance within you, which he never meant to trigger. He reached for the relic underneath his cape, before he gave it over to you. A triangle shape, red, with a golden frame.
He watched as your small hands held around it, your eyes desperately studying the ancient piece he had given you. He wasn't concerned about you holding it, only a true dark force user would be able to fully open it and use it to its full potential, or together with the other relic. Qimir looked up at your face, it was something so enticing with watching you focus, studying this piece. He could've looked at you for hours.
"This is a sith holocron, the other half is a jedi holocron," Qimir explained looking down at the piece. He took it out of your hands, and placed it back underneath his robe. Your eyes met his.
"What's special about these two, is that it's the first of their kind, it's said to make the impossible possible when used together," Qimir moved in his seat so he sat towards you.
"The light and the dark, together?" You asked, lifting your eyebrow.
Qimir nodded. He pressed his lips together. It was kind of ironic wasn't it. The light and the dark working together? It sounded very much like the two of you. He was the dark, and you... you were his light. Qimir clenched his jaw. He knew that in only a few minutes time, the two of you would be on total opposite, and he thought by now that he would have found peace with it, but he hadn't. He felt the flame inside him rise, getting more and more heated.
You turned to the wheel, as you finally were getting close. You closed your eyes, trying to sense where they were on the planet. South of the planet was barely habited due to it's coarse sand, but north was filled with small mountain tops, not too far away from the town area. Master Sol was a smart man, he would've known to hide in the busier area's. You began to fly north, and Qimir wanted you to land the flight closer to the mountain area, a good ten minute walk which seemed impractical, but you knew better than to question him.
You stood up, grabbed your things, and opened the back of the ship, waiting for the stairs to reach the ground. You could already feel the sand against your cheeks, just like it had appeared to you in the visions. Coming up beside you was Qimir. It was safe to say that the dynamic between the two of you had changed. It had become a lot quieter, perhaps on some level more uncomfortable. Non of you had spoken about what had happen last night, or truly what was about to unleash now. You were about to step down, when Qimir grabbed your arm.
"Y/n," He said your name, in a way it sounded like he intended for it to be the last time. You looked up at him confused by his tone.
"Whatever happens, know that...Know that you are the light," Qimir's eyes was shining again, just like they had last night. It was in those moments you forgot about the darkness inside of him, you only saw the possibilities within his vulnerability. Your heart was pounding hearing his words. It shouldn't be possible, in this dry environment, but you felt your eyes getting wetter. You had to look away, this could not happen.
"It will be fine," You mumbled, trying to force that Jedi voice of yours on.
Qimir smiled by your tone, he knew you were trying to put on a front. This front, the Jedi in you, only showed up when you were getting vulnerable. When you begin to feel real things. In many ways, it was a good sign for him to see you, because it meant that his words were truly sinking in. He did not mind your shield, it was not for him to tear down. He gently let one finger under your chin, turning your face carefully over to face him.
It was not going to be fine between the two of you, but he wanted you to be fine.
"The order doesn't define you," Qimir turned his body towards you.
You didn't like his speech, it felt like an ending.
"The council will see what I see," He whispered and leaned down to your level.
Your lips began to shake, as you repeated your old words.
"It will be fin-" You pushed out, trying to sound strong.
Before you could even finish the words, Qimir let his lips crash onto yours. His hands wrapped tightly around your face, like he was holding onto you for one last final moment. Your hands, shaking wrapped around his body, begging for him to let go. His lips brushed against yours, like it was begging for life. Never in your life had you felt anything more intense. Your hands went under his robe, holding on, but you knew at one point it would end.
Qimir distanced himself, and took one long glance at you before he pulled the mask on. It was difficult for you to imagine a man you adore, hiding underneath such a monstrous mask. The man walking out of the ship wasn't Qimir, it was a Stranger. You followed behind him and turned around to close the gate, when you suddenly felt his presence gone, out of thin air.
Surrounded by the mountains, you could hear the force sing. Hands formed like fists, opened up, as a tear fell down your cheek, landing on to the sith Holocron you had stolen. You closed your eyes, and reached out in the darkness as you grabbed the Jedi Holocron. You opened your eyes, and looked at the two pieces that belong together. The light and the dark.
"Everything will be fine," You mumbled.
