"I knew you were far from a sane woman, but how could you possibly imagine this to be a good idea?" Elzar grunted, looking up at you through his eyelashes. His arms were crossed. He was far from impressed with your rogue idea of suggesting him to go with Master Stellan Gios to pick up your boyfriend. Perhaps husband, was a better fitting word.
At this point, he couldn't help but wonder if this was your secret plan of beheading him. Yes, Elzar had come up with the idea that it perhaps would be better to have Qimir here in the temple, which he stood for. It was always better to have the enemy or rather the unknown in front of you than in the shadows. He however, did not believe you would suggest him to go with Stellan. Elzar had enough self-awareness to admit that he was not an admirer of Qimir, but even more importantly, self-aware enough to notice that Qimir felt the same way about him. It was fair to say their emotions were mutual.
"You suggested the idea for him to come here-" You began.
"Because that's what you wanted, it's not necessarily what I-" He stopped himself, and got silent as he looked away, trying to stop himself from saying something he might regret.
"No, c'mon keep it going," You said, tilting your head towards him.
Elzar was too smart to let himself fall into your trap. He was not going to keep going, he was going to be wiser and keep his mouth shut, until he knew how he could change the conversation. The two of you were inside his working chambers of the temple. He shared the space with others, but the two of you were currently alone. You looked magnificent. With your hair braided and beautiful Jedi uniform. He liked it when you wore your hair like that, it made it easy to study every little detail of your face. He opened his mouth, ready to say the right words.
"You do know Qimir does not like me," Elzar lifted his eyebrow, challenging you back.
"That is not true, he just... doesn't like our past," You corrected him.
Elzar huffed at your choice of words, as he stepped in front of you.
"Our past?" He questioned looking down at you.
Your eyes lit up as they connected to his. Electrifying.
"You know what I mean," You whispered.
Elzar pressed his lips together in a lure smile as he looked away.
"I do not," he spoke, before looking down at you.
"At our intimacy," You didn't fear being direct with Elzar. A smirk grew on his lips, as his tongue playfully brushed them.
"Is it in our past?" Elzar questioned.
Ah, he could sense how your whole body shivered after his question. You were impossible to read emotionally with your walls, but Elzar could still read your body, Hoe your knees suddenly felt weaker, how your pulse rose as your heartbeat got louder. Interesting.
"Elzar," You said, your tone was suspicious.
"Y/n," Elzar imitated you, as he lifted your chin up, and looked into your eyes.
"Don't make this harder than it has to," You warned him. Your words were distancing yourself from him, but your body told a different story. Elzar noticed how you had naturally let your hand intertwine into his. He looked down at your hands, before he let go, and began to walk towards the door.
"I won't," He said, clapping the stone walls beside the door as he opened it. He looked back at you.
"After all, Qimir and I have one thing in common," He began.
You were confused.
"We both want what's best for you," He smiled weakly. He was about to leave when he felt you reach out in the force, closing the door as you stepped towards him. You needed answers. He could feel your desperation through the force. A part of him couldn't help but enjoy the chaos that was roaming inside of you.
"Why?" You asked.
Elzar looked down at you. How could you be so foolish not to know? Did you act like you didn't sense his emotions anymore? Or were they just out of your concern? It was horrendous how ridiculous one word could make a person see. Elzar let his hand back on to your skin, onto your cheek. Simply enjoying your skin touching. He let his hand brush behind your head to your big thick braid, before he pulls it down, forcing you to look directly up at him.
"Because we love you," he whispered.
He studied your face, as he said the words. A thousand stars appearing in your eyes of the realization of the words. He could feel the surprise that had stuck into him, the shock he had passed onto you. Though, he did not regret saying it loud. You needed to know the truth at one point. He loved the feeling of your hair in his hand, but he figured he should let go. He smirked a little as he watched your face pull up the second he let go. Elzar opened the door again, and began to walk off.
"Jedi shall form attachments!" You shouted from the door.
Elzar didn't turn back, he simply laughed. Rich words coming from an engaged Jedi.
