You stared at the woman in front of you in the mirror. She seemed like a stranger to you. Her skin was glowing, of all the love she had received. Her eyes so wide, of confusion and exploration. Lips plump, waiting for a chance to speak. The lady was you, shining so brightly.Carefully, you placed a flower in your hair. Your eyes fell down to your body, and swallowed low. This was the least Jedi look you had ever stepped into. The only reason you wore it with your shoulders tall, was because you had created it. A shimmering dress, draped into your curves, shimmering moon dust against your skin. You felt beautiful, an emotion you were unsure was correct for a Jedi to hold. In many ways, you did feel more and more alienated from the title, even further from a Master, but it was who you were.
After your emotion outburst, you needed time to think and Qimir respected your wishes. You had spent the day by the water, meditating. You were still not at peace. Your love for him was so strong, but so was The Wise voice in your head. He wasn't really there, but maybe that's what concerned you. His lack of presence must mean he was approved of your current placement. A fear was planted in you, that The Wise desired for you to be close to his apprentice.
You pushed away your thoughts. You had been in the restroom in the lobby for ten minutes now. Nervous to see Qimir again. It was scary to let your emotions show. The thought that Qimir did it every day at every moment seen unbearable. Truthfully, you did not think you could do it for long. Not out of fear, but due to the lack of protection it offered. You smiled weakly and pushed some hair behind your hair before you walked out of the restroom. You walked out the hotel, and there he stood.
His heart skipped a beat. He couldn't believe his eyes. You were shining as you came walking towards him. Qimir kicked himself up from the wall, properly facing you. In the dark place we find ourselves, light will guide us - old words from Grand Master Yoda rang in his head from his time as a padawan. It felt like a lifetime ago, but when you came walking down, it was like you brought the light with you.
"Hi," Your voice were soft as silk.Qimir was speechless. His eyes were glued to you, soaking in your beauty. Your hair was down, with one beautiful flower matching your dress in your hair. It was the most wonderful dress he had ever seen in his life. You looked nothing else than magical. Pure light. His hands tighten around the flowers he had in his hands. How could he, after everything he had done, be so lucky?
"Are they for me?" You laughed low, trying to break through his shell.
"Yea-yeah, they-mm, yeah," For the first time in his life, he caught himself stumbling upon his words.
You laughed low, his hands were still tight around the flowers, and you could sense that he was still on a whole nother planet. You stepped closer to him, and took the flowers out of his hands, and leaned up on your toes, kissing his lips softly. It was almost comforting seeing Qimir being anxious. Perhaps in a cruel way, it made you feel more confident. You felt his hand on your back, as he finally came to himself and kissed you back.
He looked beautiful. Wearing a white shirt, with a pair of beige trousers. It was the first time you had seen him in such light colored clothes. It was like he tried to... tried to impress you, and you were impressed. Maybe in some different universe, where life hadn't beaten up Qimir like it sadly had here, he wore such colors every day and wore a robe proudly. Who knows, maybe you would've met in the temple, worked together for the light. You brushed your hand on his elbow.
"You look beautiful," You whispered, smiling.
He laughed low, and his cheeks blushed. You had never seen him react like this before. Maybe those words weren't the words he was used to hearing about himself, but it didn't make it less true.
"I should be the one...I should- I should be the one saying that," He whispered, as you took his hand intertwining your fingers.
"So say it," You laughed low, teasing him, as you did a little pirouette. He watched as you moved so playfully around, and as you stopped, he moved his hand on your back.
"You are the most beautiful being i've ever seen," Qimir said, finally able to form his sentences.
Qimir had to admit, he was nervous, and he didn't know why he felt this way. He had never felt more confident about his own emotions, his feelings towards you, but when he watched you coming down, it made him realize how much those feelings truly meant to him. How real they were. He felt like an idiot, not being able to speak half of the time, but lucky for him, you were the kindest person in the galaxy, taking it with a smile.
He began to guide you down the street, towards the beach. The sunset was already beginning to fall down, and your skin was already glowing from the sun. Qimir couldn't stop himself from looking at you with every chance. He would sense if he was at chance of bumping into anyone. The two of you found yourself a spot, sitting down on the concrete.
Before your feet hit the ground, Qimir got down on his knees and took your foot in his hands. He carefully, took of your little heels off. His fingers brushing against your bare foot. He looked up into your eyes, before he took your other foot and removed the shoes and placing them beside you, before he sat down beside you.
"How was your day?" Qimir asked, his eyes never leaving you. You smiled weakly and looked into the sunset. It was such a beautiful evening. The sun were in a rich orange color, almost bleeding into a red shade. It felt warm. You could sit here forever.
"I meditated, it was good," You smiled, studying the sun.
Qimir swallowed. His hands began to sweat. He tried to calm his nerves, he knew you could hear them, and he didn't want you to think he was anxious to be around you. He loved you. Furthermore, he loved you more than he was able to explain, but he hoped he was able to show you.
"Y/n," He said, your eyes meeting his. He could feel his breath hitch. You were waiting for him to speak, but he couldn't help but to look at you a second longer than usual. His hands holding into yours again. His thumb brushing over your skin. This was fine, he would be fine.
"You once told me that the darkness needs its light," Qimir looked into the shimmer in your eyes. You nodded softly.
"Like the moon," You smiled.
"Like the moon," he repeated.
His hand reached for his pockets.
"And I've known for a while, that you are..." His throat suddenly felt all dry as his heart beat rise. Your eyes were so kind, so welcoming.
"You are my moon," Qimir pressed his lips together, trying to sort his words out. You tilted your head to the side, admiring his kind words.
"And I know..." he whispered.
"I would like to have the moon with me..." Qimir fished up something from his pocket. You looked at him a bit confused, not sure if you understood where he was going with all these flattering compliments.
"Forever?" Your heart hit the ground, when you suddenly saw a ring appear from his hands. You finally understood his direction. He was asking for your hand in marriage. The ring was stunning, it was personal. It was neither fancy or rich, but personal. It was a moon crystal. You could feel the heat in your body, but you didn't know what to say.
Marriage had never been on your mind. Marriage was not the way of the Jedi. If you answered him how he wished, you would never be welcomed back home on Coruscant. Qimir asked you, knowing that. Did he want you to leave the order? What a dumb question, of course he did. Your smile faded. Wasn't loving him enough?
"No," You whispered, staring at the sun.
