Daydreamer - Dark Pit x Reader

It was that time once again, the morning.

Everyday ever since you moved into Smash Mansion, Master Hand ordered everybody to train as hard as they possibly could and try your best at fighting to win some battles for some trophies. Also to get along with everybody else, make good friends and just overall, have fun.

But today, was a different day, the day where all the fighters finally had a day-off from training so much. They usually slept until the afternoon, hung out with their friends, or took a nice stroll around the mansion.

Not to mention there was always free breakfast if you woke up before the afternoon. That explains why you woke up so early, you were more like a morning bird instead of a night owl.

Once you awaken from possibly having a good dream, you jumped out of bed and quickly ran downstairs to the cafeteria in your pajamas. Mostly everyone would, they didn't care that they arrived with their hair all bushy or clothes all winkled in the morning, besides, you all were getting use to it already.

You would anxiously grab a tray from the serving table and impatiently stand in the line awhile everybody was receiving their breakfast. A newly fresh breakfast for that matter.

And after tediously waiting and snatching the delicious looking food, you would always have someone to sit with, yes, you were friends with every single fighter in the mansion. So they didn't really care if you would join in and have a good conversation.

But you would always choose to sit by Pit, Palutena and Dark Pit, since you thought they were the best friends out of everyone.

Palutena would always greet you in her usual cheery mood, Pit would get overly excited and Dark Pit would stay quiet for most of the time.

You all would discuss about the days were you hung out with each other and review the memories you all shared together. Which would always put on a big smile on their faces, especially Dark Pit's.

But you noticed something strange happening to Dark Pit, he would always be staring off into the distance, not speaking nor looking at you, at anyone. It seems like he was in his own world, ignoring everything that was going on around him.

Both Palutena and Pit also recognized this too, but they thought it was normal for him, but in reality, it wasn't.

So after they both left the cafeteria to do whatever they wished, Dark Pit didn't move an inch, he was once again staring off into space.

This completely bothered you and you finally decided to ask him,"Hey Dark Pit, what's up with the silent mood lately? Is everything alright?"

He lightly flinched and turned his attention to you, avoiding direct eye contact,"Yes (Name), everything is fine... You don't have to worry about anything...."

"But you're being so... Quiet..." You addled and suggested to him,"Look, you can tell me what's wrong if you'd like. I'll be glad to listen."

He sighed heavily and was getting quite irritated,"I said everything is fine..." He told you sternly,"I don't need to spill out my thoughts..."

You rolled your eyes in annoyance and pleaded again,"Please Pittoo?... I'm your best friend, we can talk this out."

He didn't say anything at first, but eventually he nodded his head,"Fine then... Have it your way, but I've been..." He paused for a few seconds,"Daydreaming a lot recently..."

You muffled your laugh and replied stunned,"This is... Not what I was expecting to hear from you... But, what are you daydreaming about exactly?" You asked promptly.

He put his hand up and shook his head greatly disagreeing,"That's all I'm telling you, you don't need to know."

"B-But Pittoo! I'm really eager to know why you've been daydreaming!" You winced,"Can you please tell me?"

"No (Name), I'm not." He declined and he finally looked at you,"I know you're going to be shocked, surprised or even speechless..."

"I won't act like that Pittoo, just tell me and we can see what's wrong." You advised him again and he sighed again,"Why must you be so nosey?"

"Because..." You were thinking,"Oh! Because I'm a great friend."

He didn't say anything,"And I'm willing to help you out, no matter if it's personal or whatever it is." You finished and smiled at him.

He covered his face with his hands and said,"Promise not to get all shocked when I say it?"

You hesitated at first, thinking that it was probably something bad, but you nodded your head,"Eh... I guess so..."

"Ok good." He took a deep breath,"I've been in my own world a lot, everyday for that fact. And... I've been daydreaming about..." He blushed and hid his face more,"About you... A-And me..."

"W-Wait..." You gawked at him,"Could you repeat that?"

"Ah, you make everything much more harder than it already is..." He scoffed and removed his hands from his face, which was a bright pink,"I daydream about you and me. Like we're together, having fun and hanging out with each other... Like, w-we're a couple..."

You blushed badly,"A-And?"

He actually smiled at you and explained,"I imagine us in vast field, with no one else near us, and we talk to each other about problems that happened in our life. And we fix them by doing it together, finishing it together. Then it magically goes away like it never existed, and then we ramble on more about our lives."

"S-So your point here is your trying to make us..." You blushed even more,"A-A couple?"

He nodded his head in agreement and smiled again,"Exactly, but I didn't know if you felt the same way, since your created strong bonds with every single one of the guys here at the mansion."

"I-I did, and they're all good friends..." You informed him,"But I like you the most... You'll my favorite one out of all of them."

He blushed madly and tried his best to hide it,"....S-So I'm asking you this from the feelings I had for you... But..." He looked at you again,"W-Will you go out with me (Name?)"

You quickly nodded your head,"O-Of course I will Pittoo!"

He laughed lightly and hugged you across the table,"I'm glad you feel the same way, I honestly thought you would reject me for a second or two..."

You tightly hugged him back and felt that he was nice and warm,"Why would I reject a great guy like you?"

He shrugged and pulled back,"I don't know, maybe because both Palutena and Pit say I have a cold stone heart?"

"Aw, no you don't." You told him with honesty,"Even though you have a bad attitude, you still have a good heart."

He blushed again and nervously looked away from you,"That certainly means a lot coming from you (Name). And I mean a whole lot."

You giggled and poked his warm cheek,"Ah, I know it does."

"And don't get to flustered when I say this to you..." He suggested,"But just remember that I love you (Name), with all of my heart."
