Running Away - Link x Reader

"Get outta here (Name!) You're a worthless failure that was accidentally added into Smash!"

"You don't belong here (Name!) You deserve to be living back your crappy shack that you were from!"

"You will be always and forever be alone! Everybody knows that, you want to know why?.... Because it's 100% true!"

"You're a miserable person that wasn't suppose to be born! You don't belong in this mansion, this world, this galaxy, this universe! You don't belong anywhere!"

"You will never ever have any friends (Name), you're a pathetic loser who doesn't know how to do anything right! It is a unbelievable miracle that you actually somehow manage to join Smash!"

Then all the characters started saying even more hurtful comments towards you. You were on your knees with your hands covering your ears, tears pouring out of your eyes and your body getting tenser and tenser with each word you heard.

Why? Why did they act like this to you? Why are they saying these words you never wanted to hear? Why were you here? What did you do to deserve this?

You did absolutely nothing, you didn't say anything mean to anybody, you didn't beat up anybody, you did nothing. Despite being extremely friendly and polite, you were a bit shy, but that didn't mean anything. No matter what you did or tried, they were still vexatious towards you.

With sadness and displeasure growing inside you every second, you stood up with such determination and loudly yelled,"I can't take this anymore! All you fighters ever do is toss and throw me around like I'm your punching bag! I'm still a fighter! But I don't need any of you guys to support me! I can do it damn self!"

Then you slapped the nearest table with your hand and kicked the front door open angrily. You slammed the doors behind you told yourself,"I don't need them, I don't need anybody... I can do it all myself..."

You started walking but turned around and yelled,"I'm leaving this cursed place and never coming back!"

But then you remembered you had a hand-held notebook in your jacket pocket, you pulled it out and removed the red pen that was on strapped on the binder. You took off the cap and began writing...

Dear fighters,
I couldn't take all of this nonsense you all were telling me. What did I ever do to you? Why were you so rude towards me? I never did no such thing to any of you guys, and here I am, getting beaten up by you every single day and made fun of every time I see you. I'm pretty sure I did nothing to you. And all because you were all bullying me, I'm going to run away from Smash Mansion and I'm never going to come back. When I walked out that door, that will be the last time you will ever see me. Farewell!

You broke the pen after writing the last word, the watery red ink gushed out of the plastic tube and rushed down your arm, making it looked like blood. Little splatters of ink flew onto the white paper and the cold ground.

You carefully ripped out the little notebook paper and began folding it into a tiny envelope. Then you threw the paper in front of the doors and walked away.

But before you completely left the area, you looked at Smash Mansion one last time, remembering all the horrifying flashbacks that all of the characters did to you. Well, at least most of them.

One part of you, was saying that you should stay here and try your very best to deal with all the rumors going around.

And the other was saying to leave this awful place and never come back. Not even saying good-bye to all the characters, tch, they don't deserve it anyway.

And just like that, you turned back around began your long and tough journey into the woods.

A couple of minutes later, you just realized that you didn't pack any food or even any supplies to survive out here in the wild. Yes, there were bugs, pigs, snakes, birds and other various animals. But neither did you bring your main weapon you used so much in Smash.

Then furiously, you started yelling and screaming while kicking a tree trunk, you were so forgettable, abandoning the essential supplies needed for this trip.

So once again, you turned back around and started walking back to Smash Mansion, but you were unexpectedly greeted by a hero in green clothes.

You gazed at him and harshly asked,"Why are you following me you stalker?"

"I-I'm not trying to stalk you, I'm only trying to help you (Name)."

"Oh..." You crossed your arms,"And how in the world are you suppose to do that Link?"

"By coming back to Smash Mansion, all the fighters need you, heck, I even need you more!" He informed you,"We both can make a difference!"

"Make a difference?" You whispered,"No, that's not going to work..."

"But-"

"Don't you see how all of the characters treat me?! They just toss me around like I'm their rag doll! I did absolutely nothing! And I get repaid like this! They show me like I mean nothing to them, they talk smack about me and even try to beat me up most of the dang times! No matter what you try to do Link..." You slowly took a few steps towards him,"I am never going back to that place called hell!"

You dropped to your knees and stared at the ground,"I just let out all my anger boiling inside me on you Link."

He ambled his way towards you,"(Name)..." He said quietly,"You mean something in this vast world. There's no such thing being called 'nothing."

You gloated at him,"M-Me?.... Mean something?"

"Yes you do (Name)." He nodded his head casually,"If you don't want to return back to Smash Mansion, then fine... But wherever you go, I'll always be with you along the way."

"Link please..." You whined."Go back to Smash Mansion without me, go live your life with them instead of me. I don't deserve anybody anyway..."

He bent down and frowned at you,"(Name), everybody deserves something, I don't want you to be the only one out there, out here. Besides, I'm not going back to those jerks anyway, after what they did to you."

You shook your head and felt tears pouring down your eyes,"No no no... You got it all wrong-"

"Please (Name!) I swear to the Great Fairy that you do mean something! You mean more than you could imagine! There's nobody in this entire world that doesn't mean something! Even all of the horrible things they do, they still are something."

Link scooted closer to you, where your knees where touching each others,"(Name), I didn't hurt you like the others because you mean the world to me, you're my everything, you're going to be my new princess. And I'm not going to let anything hurt you along the way, if there is, I'm going to punish myself every time that happens." His face was a few inches away from yours,"Please (Name), let us never go back, we can start a new and better future, together. I can promise you that, and I swear, I will never break it."

You quickly nodded your head,"Ok then...." You didn't know what to say next because he was making you uncomfortable.

Then Link wiped the tears off your cheeks and used his other hand to gently grab your hand, making your face turn into a dark shade of pink with uncontrollable blushes coming along the way. You felt that his hand was soft and warm, making you feel extra fuzzy inside. And really unexpectedly, Link moved his head closer and planted his smooth lips onto yours, you greatly resisted it at first, trying to push him back, but those pushes only got weaker and weaker when you started falling into the kiss. Then you both started taking turns pushing back and taking a sneaky breath here and there. But Link pushed back so hard, you carelessly fell backward and laid on the cold floor. Very shyly, Link went on top of you and began placing gentle pecks on your neck, making you moan and groan very softly. After being satisfied with the small marks he created on your neck, he got off you and helped you up.

"I-uh.... H-Hoped you enjoyed that (Name)...." Link told you nervously, you just rubbed your neck and said,"I-I did.... T-Thanks..."

"Anyway..." He turned his attention to you,"So are we going back?... Or are we staying out here?"

You thought for a few seconds before saying,"As you said Link... We are never ever going back to Smash Mansion."
