Fate Whispered to the warrior 'You cannot withstand the storm' and the warrior whispers back 'I am the storm'
---
The winged stranger was an island local, Conis. She had white small wings, light blonde locks with dark blue eyes. In her arms was a fox-like creature though she wasn't sure on the creature's name. Dawnya studied the pair quietly as the women showed the group how to get into the square shape coconut.
She had sheathed her blade, not before giving it a quick swipe on her trousers before stepping besides a frowning Zoro. Said man's frown directed towards a swooning Sanji. "I quiet enjoyed that" she spoke softly words causing the mask flaps to fluttered. "I noticed" Zoro sent her a smirk before adding, "we should do it again sometime"
"I will hold you to that" she nodded, "hopefully, no winds interfere"
"Yes, that was a surprise." the taller man admitted. "Good one though"
She hummed in response as a strange sound echoed in her ears. Turning towards the seeing she watched as vehicle of some kind travelled towards them at speed. She turned away, not too particular interested in the sea machine. If there were people, shouldn't there be a town? Are they friendly, she wanted to explore, wander on the island that made her feel light on her toes. Or maybe practice her skills. If she wanted to travel with them, she couldn't let her devil fruit from interfering and affecting them.
"I think..." she started earning the attention of those closets, Zoro and robin while the rest fawned over the sea glider. "I think I'm going to go for a wander, scout the island find a high point to meditate or something" she stated brows furrowed slightly while looking upwards towards the cloudy skies. To the crew, it sounded like the statement was mixture between a question and a order.
"I don't see why not Miss swordswomen" Robin sent her a small smile, "i'm sure Luffy would love it if you scouted the area for the crew."
Zoro grunted in agreement, then added. "don't get lost"
She gave him a blank looked that said really, before walking away towards the cobbled Stoneway – feeling the different texture under her feet.
It felt weird being able to feeling freely wander the isle, to venture into the unknow, freeing and – she felt the feeling swell from her core – exciting. The fates were finally favouring her.
XXX
Having wandered through the shopping district noting the unusual shell-like dials – something she was sure Usopp would be interested in she wandered through the housing district, she couldn't help but turn around, glancing at her surroundings. Why did it feel like someone was watching her? The goosebumps appeared on her arms but not because of the cold.
She narrowed her eyes once again scanning her surrounding looking at the light-coloured houses and peaceful atmosphere... something was wrong but she couldn't put her finger on it.
She ventured off to the left, taking the most direct route to back to the beach. With a quick jump and a hop, she ran towards her destination. To others it was like she was flying, effortlessly soaring though the skies – the wind aiding her on her ran towards the others.
She landed on the sandy cloud store just to see Luffy, Sanji and Zoro surrounded by fallen figures, who scattering away fleeing with their tails in-between their legs.
What had she missed?
Dawnya listened in, taking the information given to her, it seems that the group had been tricked. By not paying the entry fee they had in fact entered the country illegally. And by now defeating the white berets? She wasn't too sure on the group's name. There fine had increase which could put the locals who'd helped them in danger.
No wonder she had felt like she had been watched in town.
She let out a defeated sigh, as she helped chopper on robin around the ship, preparing for the next leg of their adventure.
She was in the lower's parts of the ship, moving some crates as the ship began to violently move. The motion making her stubble. Her head whipped to the doorway as yelling for the deck could be heard. Racing for fresh air, she was almost dragged off her feet once again as the ship lurched to one side. "what's going on?" she muttered as a strong hand gripped at her bicep. "Something dragging us" Zoro gritted his teeth.
"Where's it taking us?"
"Hey!" Nami cried out, "everyone abandon ship! It's not too late!"
"And the ship?! If they take our ship?" chopper yelled in horror.
Dawnya quickly weighted her options. She'd rather take her chances with the ship than the cloudy seas around it.
"Don't worry, chopper, I'll stay here!" Zoro grunted to the doctor.
"What? What you can yo do by yourself" snapped Nami.
"I stay as well" she spoke up, earning a look for the navigator.
"Wait, it looks like they prepared to stop our escape too" robin, spoke hurriedly from her point by the rail. "Those gain sky fish..." she pointed out to the creature chasing the moving ship with months gapping open. Ready to swallow any swimmer's whole.
"Even if we jump, we won't survived"
"What if we just take down the big shrimp?" chopper suggestive. Not a bad idea...
"It's useless whatever we do. Maybes its started" robin spoke holding onto the ships railing as once again the ship rattled violently.
"You mean 'heavens judgement'? So instead of sending pursuers they make us come to them. Such cunning bastards" Zoro swore, glaring at the creatures following them.
"Are we going to that island again?" Nami grimaced, "Dawnya! Go high and keep an eye for anymore danger or if those sky sea beast come even closer"
"On it!" the sky women nodded, moving swiftly up the pole towards the highest point on the ship her perch above the crow's nest. Sky blue eyes wides as she searches the cloudy sea around them slowly turn to forest till finally the shrimp stopped.
Placing the ship on what appeared to be an altar in a middle of a cloudy puddle. At first glance the puddle looked safe, easy to escape from. To leave the ship and swim away but if you looked again, you notice the ever to slightly soft shift of clouds of something swimming underneath.
"There's something under the surface on the clouds" she called out to the crew below.
What a particular situation to be in...
