Chapter 34--Soul & Maka (Sleepover Part 6)

Maka's Point of View

The bottle landed on Tsubaki, I kept my jealousy to myself. Already expecting her to politely decline, considering she's seeing BlackStar.

Surprisingly, she doesn't, they both climb to their knees, and she pecks him on the cheek. I feel my cheeks warm in response, the Crimson glow mirroring my mood exactly.

I smile through it, and clap my hands. "All right, that's enough games for now. How about a movie or two?"

Everyone laughs at my reaction, but nods. "You guys pick the movie, I'll refill the snacks."

I scurry into the kitchen with the empty bowls. Soul followed me in, we could hear the others laughing in the other room.

"What was that about?" Soul chuckles at me.

"I have no idea what you're talking about," I shrug it away.

I put popcorn in the microwave and wait for it to pop, Soul wraps his arms around my waist.

"What I'm talking about is how adorable you get when you're jealous." He smirks at me.

The blush spreads across my cheeks again. He kisses my forehead, then my nose, and finally my lips. The microwave beeps, and I push lightly on his shoulders.

We return to the others, the lights faded. Everyone coupled off underneath separate blankets on the floor. Tsubaki, the big spoon wrapped around BlackStar's small, muscular form. Kidd wrapped around Crona, Ragnorok tucked away, nowhere to be seen. And the twins just snuggled next to each other. The movie previews drone on as they giggled and told stories. After setting the bowls on the floor, Soul and I cuddled together on the couch.

They started the movie, and they continued to talk through it. Slowly, they fell asleep, I was one of the last to drift off.
