Matilda: Nicholas, darling, remember that very lovely night at my place ? When we made love? Well I've been to the doctor and you and I are giving our son Nigel a little brother.

Nicholas: Excuse me?

Matilda: I'm pregnant, darling.

Margaret: Nicholas, I know this will be a surprise. I really don't expect you to do anything. I don't expect anything from you at all. I just think you should know. I'm pregnant. It's your baby.

Nicholas: Are you serious?

Ariel: Nicholas, I want to thank you again for being there for me and Alan. I so appreciate it.

Nicholas: You are very welcome, dear. How are you both doing this morning?

Ariel: I'm numb. I have to make arrangements for Gordon. The hospital wants me to donate his organs. I said yes. He can't use them anymore. Is that awful? Probably. He was an organ donor. He could be a generous man at times. There's a man here at the hospital who needs a kidney but I think they said Gordon might not be a match. Alan is very quiet now. His boyfriend Theodore called him on his cell a few times and he wouldn't answer. He won't talk to his brother or his other friends either. Luci Moore has called a couple times.  I'm worried about him.

Nicholas: Give him proper time to wrap his mind around all this, dear. He's only fifteen and he is facing things that would knock me off my feet. I would like to bring you and him a decent meal tonight for dinner. What would you like?

Ariel: Anything you bring is fine. Thank you.

Maxim : Ariel, I have read about the terrible accident. I want to offer my condolences on your husband's passing and your son's injuries. I am truly sorry.

Ariel : Thank you. You're as sweet as your father.

Maxim : I do try my best.
