Alan stared down in amazement at his cell phone and reread the text message from Luci that said the cops were taking Theodore out of the house.
He cussed out loud and dialed his mother's number. His nervousness only increased as it rang and rang. When she finally answered his youthful voice practically vibrated with over strung nerves as he said sharply," Mom , I don't know what's going on ! Luci said that the police arrested Theodore ! Something about him hurting Dodie Angeletti ! That's impossible. Theodore wouldn't hurt anyone ! "
Ariel said in confusion," They did what ? Then why on earth are they insisting on harassing your brother? The police are incompetent ! Neither of these boys did anything. "
" What ! Is Jeff okay! "
Suddenly as he was in his hospital bed his legs that he still couldn't control, that he still couldn't move , began to shake visibly against his will with intense muscle spasms which scared him greatly.
" What's going on ! ," he began to scream as the phone slipped from his hand, his brown eyes widening in shock and fear. His hands reached out to grab the rails of his hospital bed tightly.
On the other side of the phone Ariel called out with fright," Alan ! Are you alright? Alan ! Speak to me now! "
