The next morning bright and early Richard in his Mercedes Benz picked up DuBuis and Aiden for the trip to Manassas to find out exactly what had happened to his father. To find out exactly what his grandmother really knew because Spencer was starting to believe more and more that she was lying about Andrew not coming to see her.

But before they took off they had someone show up on a motorcycle with a determined look in her eyes.

DuBuis from the passenger side window said," Sis , you're not going. I told you last night. You're pregnant. We don't know exactly what we might find out about Andrew so....."

" Hush ," Faith retorted as she reached into her jacket pocket and pulled out a small black gun , handing it to her brother who took it gingerly.

" We don't need a gun ," he said firmly.

Faith rolled her eyes. " You can't have it both ways, bro. You can't say it's too dangerous for me and Spencer and Nigel to go but in the same voice claim it's  too dangerous to take a gun. " She leaned over and kissed his cheek. " Be careful. Find that old bastard. And, all of you come back safe. We need you all. " Then as she straightened up and noticed the stranger to her in the back seat who was watching her curiously. " Except you. I don't know you but you take care too I guess. Now go. As Joy would say, God speed or whatever. I love you. Even you , Richard."

Then she hurried back to her motorcycle, climbed on and sped off again down the street.

DuBuis put the gun carefully into the glove compartment of the car , saying to a confused Aiden in the back," My sister Faith. She's a former cop and pregnant. She was also dropped on her head as a baby by our other sister Sylvia. "

Aiden nodded and put on his seatbelt. " Yes. I can see that. I mean she looks lovely. "

Richard thinned his lips as he started up the car. " We might need the gun actually. Not that I think Grandmother is dangerous but we don't know what happened to Dad. And, Lyle's little dream is a bit eerie. Nigel was especially alarmed. "

DuBuis cut his eyes at his brother in law. " You said you called the sheriff about Lyle and his dream? What did he say? And did the search pick up anything? "

Aiden listened closely from the back as Richard replied," The sheriff considers Lyle just a nut seeking attention. And the search was fruitless. No sign of him. At all. They even went door to door. Sheriff is still thinking Dad wandered off drunk. "

DuBuis shook his head. " Drunk or not, nobody would take off without their phone or wallet or car. As my husband would say what are the odds of that? "

" Not very likely," Aiden chimed in.
