" Andrew Norland is your what ? ," Aiden Norris said for what was the third time as he sat in Spencer and DuBuis' living room along with his grandmother who held a chortling Miracle in her arms. DuBuis was sitting in his favorite armchair trying to understand all this. And, Spencer was downstairs as well sitting by his husband in his wheelchair wearing a plaid bathrobe over his pajamas. DuBuis was holding his husband's hand as Spencer was trying to wrap his mind over what the older woman had just told them all and trying to forget his earlier conversation with his mother before his husband had come to get him to meet their unexpected guests.

" My son, Scooter , dear , " Alice Rose said as she tickled Miracle under her chin as the child laughed. " Try to keep up. Andrew is my biological son. Your father Daniel's older brother. Your uncle. You and Spencer are cousins. " Her eyes watched her grandson pale with a oddly shrewd look.

Spencer opened his mouth as he heard the word cousins but was stopped by DuBuis shaking his head at him.

DuBuis said ," Richard and Lorraine are your cousins. Too. This is all incredible. And you told Andrew this? Before he left for Manassas? "

Alice nodded sadly. " He was polite but he didn't take it well. I mean it's reasonable he would be upset. I didn't want to hurt him but I felt he should know. I felt everyone should know. " Her eyes were still focused on her grandson who was gazing at Spencer with a heartbreakingly devastating look in his own eyes.

Aiden finally broke his gaze from Spencer who remained silent by DuBuis. " I can't believe this. Did GrandPa ever know? And Dad ? Or anyone? "

Alice Rose smiled sadly. " No. Your grandfather knew I wasn't.... you know.... untouched when we met and fell in love but he was fine about it. He was a very good man. Like you , dear. I hope you find someone just like your grandfather one day. The right one. " She put emphasis on the right one and watched as his cheeks reddened.

Aiden nodded but looked miserable. He also looked intrigued. He leaned forward and asked," So Andrew went to see his mother in Manassas. Where his car was found. Do you think it has anything to do with his disappearing? The revelation? "

Spencer laughed out loud. " I don't really know my Norland grandparents that well. We didn't see them much. And after the custody hearing where Dad lost custody..... when they wouldn't let him see us...... Mother stopped them from visiting at all. She considered his parents to be common. Mainly because my grandfather was a plumber. I liked Grandfather. He was nice and kind. Like Dad. " He smiled sadly. " When I talked to her she didn't sound all that very concerned about Dad. But from what I do know about her the lack of emotion and reaction isn't that odd. She was always a little cold. Not like....." His words trailed off as he glanced over at the old lady holding Miracle who was falling asleep.

Then Spencer's phone rang just as he got a text notification as well. He saw the text was from Winston who asked if there was any word on Andrew and if he was alright. The call was from Richard which he immediately answered.

" Have they found him ? ," Spencer demanded to know in a soft but brisk voice.

Richard said wearily," Not yet but I have some rather startling news for you and DuBuis. Especially you. You're not the only one with a family tree surprise, brother. Also I'm going to Manassas tomorrow. To see Grandmother. "
