Mary Swan Norland had planned every aspect of her life even at her current age of seventeen and a highschool senior. A high school senior who was now still in school at a prestigious private school while married to a fellow student she had deliberately set out to manipulate into marriage and the mother of an infant baby boy Trey. She had gotten everything she set out to get : the young man who was both handsome and dangerous with a link to a rich father, the baby that had hooked her to the young man, a three bedroom apartment in Takoma Park ( thanks to the generous allowance from her father in law/ brother in law) yet she still wasn't happy.
Mary still wanted more. Mary always wanted more.
She sat at her elaborate pink painted vanity table, brushing and combing out her long silky blonde hair and staring at her peeved expression in the heart shaped mirror. She couldn't wait until her and Niles graduated next June. School was becoming a gigantic pain in the ass. It was so boring and frankly incredibly useless to her. It wasn't like she needed that stupid paper. She already had her MRS degree. And , frankly she was tired of people looking at her like she was some type of slut at the school just because she was married with a baby. And , that was mainly from the teachers. Especially the women. They were just jealous they were old and homely and couldn't get a man. She was tempted to just drop out. Then she could stay home full time with little Trey and be a TradWife and Mother for real. After all every girl didn't want to waste time in school getting some degree that didn't even guarantee them a job when they finished. Anyway their lives were about to improve really. Not only did they receive the money from old ass Richard who would keep paying so Niles wouldn't finally kill him but Niles' annoying prune face mother Beverly the Judge from hades had finally accepted their marriage when Trey was born. Yes , some people were rude enough to act like the baby wasn't Niles because it was so big and premature but they were stupid. Big babies ran in both their families. Nance had said that much. Of course she had been drunk at the time. But that was neither here nor there. Beverly the Hideous Posh Bitch was being nicer to them. She was also giving Niles a monthly allowance and unlike old Richard had added the baby to her own will. It was probably due to the fact that she had gotten another divorce and was living rather lonely in her old decrepit age. Beverly was even dropping hints to them about moving into her Evergreen Acres home with the baby and Niles going to Yancey Woodward Memorial College once he graduated. Niles said they were going to do it too.
And her awful grandmother was going to have to find a new place to stay because they were not keeping this place. Let her go back to Matilda. After all her mother still had the house although her embarrassingly pregnant self was currently living off Nicholas , her own rich one of the moment. She did not really care but the old woman was not coming to Beverly's with them. Beverly had promised to hire her a nanny for Trey.
She had no time to worry about old Nance anyway, she mused as she placed her facial cream on her pretty young face. After all she had other plans brewing in her mind. Like getting baby Trey some work as a child model. He was adorable. Everyone who saw him stared in such awe.
And , to start she was entering him in the baby beauty pageant being run by Baby Bloom magazine. She knew her idiot half brother Nigel had created the magazine through his rich daddy's company but she had pored over the entry rules constantly. There was nothing there barring her from entering Trey.
There was nothing preventing her and Niles' son from winning this contest. After all how much real competition could there be ?
