TW : Suicide Attempt. Richard and Nigel returned home a little after nine thirty that night in a very good mood. A mood they hadn't experienced in quite a long while. They planned on a little more fun in their bedroom but first they had to tend to their domestic responsibilities.
Richard let the two dogs King and Queen out for the night to relieve themselves as Nigel went up to check on the thirteen year old boys Lewis and Richie, ten year old Rebecca and six year old Tanisha who were hopefully still sleeping in their bedrooms.
As he stood on the front porch watching the animals sniffing over at a large oak tree in the front yard he smiled peacefully. He felt so relaxed. It was nice having a night out. He was glad Alfred had came up with the idea.
Then the front door quickly opened and Nigel rushed out in a great hurry with an urgent rush to his steps, concern on his scarred face and his cell phone up to his ear.
Richard furrowed his brow at his husband , asking," Nigel, what is....."
Nigel said in a rushed voice," Richard, I'm on with 911 ! They're sending an ambulance here ! "
" What? Why ? " Richard's heart began to pound sharply in his chest. What was happening? Was someone hurt? Not one of the children...... Had Spencer been right? Had going out been a mistake after all?
Nigel swallowed hard. Then he blurted out in a frantic voice that seemed to increase his usual soft English accent ,"It's.... Lewis..... He's on his floor..... Next to a half empty bottle of aspirin...... He left a note....."
