This is Lynda Lopez with a special breaking news story out of Manassas, Virginia. We have received word that the father in law of Volkouv Enterprises executive Nigel Norland and the father  of Judge Richard Norland is currently reported as missing. Judge Norland as you know was involved with the highly publicized hit and run trial of Dodie Angeletti which recently ended with a mistrial and her attempted murder at the county jail which is reportedly reviewing their own security precautions as pertaining to the inmates. The missing man , seen here in a picture , is Andrew Norland of Hyattsville, Maryland. He is in his mid sixties with mostly grey hair and grey eyes and five foot eleven in height. His car was located along with his cell phone and wallet on a back road in the Manassas area where his own mother resides but there is no sight or word from the man in question. Family states that he was going to visit his mother Mrs. Edie Norland in Manassas but she has reportedly said he never showed up there. Manassas Sheriff Ted Kentland states that the missing man has a past history of wandering away and alcohol abuse but that his department is taking this very seriously to the point of doing a very thorough search of the area for the man.

His sons , Richard and Dr. Spencer Norland , have issued a statement asking for the public's help in locating their missing father and have also announced a reward of two hundred fifty thousand dollars for his safe return. Sheriff Kentland has asked if anyone has any knowledge of his whereabouts to please call the sheriff's department at 703 - 555 -3864.

There is also a planned prayer vigil on Sunday night at the UUC church in Hyattsville. We will definitely keep you posted with any details on this very tragic story. Back to you in the studio, Denise.

Alice Rose widened her eyes at the tv on the kitchen counter and raised her shaking hands to her chest.

" Granny," Aiden asked her as he was finishing his coffee at the kitchen table. " Are you okay? "

A.J. lifted his eyes from his cell phone where he was texting with Luci Moore. His eyes searched his great grandmother's worried pallid face. "Yeah , you okay, Granny? "

Alice Rose shook her head and rose from her chair, looking as though she was on the verge of tears. " No. No , I'm not. " Then she hurried from the room leaving them behind in befuddled wonder.

Chief Judge Bernard Arnett leaned forward in his armchair in his den and watched the news report carefully. His lips thinned and his eyes cooled.

His son was missing. Where was he?

He pulled out his cell phone and quickly dialed a number he knew almost by heart but had never used before.

" Yes ? ," Richard answered with exhaustion edging his words. " What can I do for you, Judge Arnett ? "

Bernard retorted ," You can tell me exactly what is going on with your father. Is the man truly missing? "
