This was no love story, and their marriage was far from a fairy-tale ending. It had been a transaction, a delicate web of deception, and now the final strands were beginning to unravel.

Just after handing over the documents to Natasha, Subhash walked out of the temple without looking back, his footsteps echoing against the cold marble floor. Behind him, the Pillai family members followed, one by one, like shadows. All except for Rudra and Darshana, who remained motionless, watching the scene unfold with an unsettling calmness.

Natasha’s grip tightened on the papers as if holding the mansion’s deeds gave her control over the situation. Her eyes, once filled with triumph, now flashed with frustration as she turned sharply towards Yuvaan. Her voice was laced with fury. "What are you standing there for? Follow me!" she snapped, the venom in her words unmistakable.

Yuvaan, standing a few paces behind, swallowed hard. His jaw clenched, his fingers twitched at his sides, yearning to lash out, to say something—anything—but the weight of his silence held him back. A lifetime of restraint. He took a breath, forcing himself to nod obediently, his head lowered. He could feel the tension in the room, the burning stares of the others who remained in the temple, witnessing the power struggle between them.

As Natasha turned and stormed off, Yuvaan followed slowly, his shoulders stiff, the mask of submission slipping over his face once more. But deep down, a storm was brewing—one that he wasn’t sure he could contain much longer.

Meanwhile, those still gathered in the temple exchanged nervous glances. They knew too much. Secrets were dangerous in this family, and some secrets were deadlier than others. The flickering oil lamps cast shadows across their faces as the hushed conversations began.

Raina, standing near the back of the temple, leaned closer to the others, her voice a mere whisper. "If she ever finds out who’s really behind that mask, she won’t live to see another day."

Her words were met with silence, the gravity of her statement sinking in. Rudra and Darshana exchanged a glance, their expressions unreadable, but there was a knowing darkness in their eyes. The truth that lay beneath the surface of this twisted family saga was a time bomb, ticking away. And when it exploded, there would be no escape.

The temple’s silence grew heavier, a suffocating presence. Each person left behind in that sacred place seemed to be carrying a part of the secret, as though the very walls of the temple bore witness to the lies and betrayals.

Natasha sat on the edge of the bed, her eyes staring blankly at the wall, lost in a maze of her own thoughts. The room around her felt suffocating, the air thick with tension. She was waiting for Yuvraj, but her mind kept wandering—drifting between the past and the present, between the lies she had been told and the truths she now sought. The weight of the Pillai mansion’s papers sat heavily on her shoulders. With the transaction complete, the future felt more uncertain than ever. What had she really gained? And what had she lost?

She was so absorbed in her thoughts that she didn’t hear the door creak open, nor did she realize that Yuvaan had entered the room. He stood there for a moment, watching her, his expression unreadable. His green eyes flicked over her, assessing, calculating, waiting for the perfect moment.

When he cleared his throat, the sound was sharp, almost cutting through the thick silence. Natasha jolted out of her thoughts, blinking rapidly. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw him standing there. "Oh… Yuvraj," she said, her voice soft and disoriented, as she got up from the bed and slowly approached him.

But there was something different in the air, something off. The moment felt tense, dangerous even, but Natasha couldn’t place why. She moved toward him cautiously, her mind still fogged with half-formed thoughts.
