~*~ Living Room, Elite Force Tower ~*~

The sun is setting outside the large windows of the Elite Force tower. Chase, Oliver, Kaz, Bree, Skylar, and Diana are lounging in the living room. Diana's phone suddenly rings, and everyone glances over as she answers it.

Diana (looking serious): "Yes? ... Right now? I'll be there."

Without another word, she stands up, her face stern, and bolts towards the door.

Oliver (surprised): "Whoa, where's the fire?"

Skylar (frowning): "Diana?"

Before anyone can react, Diana is already out the door, leaving the rest of the team bewildered.

Kaz (glancing at everyone): "What just happened?"

Douglas enters the room, looking concerned as he watches the door Diana just dashed through.

Douglas (sighing): "That's something I was going to bring up, but I didn't think it would come up like this."

Chase (sharply): "What do you mean? She just ran out without a word!"

Bree (crossing her arms): "And what was that call about? Since when does Diana just take off like that?"

Douglas: "I talked to her earlier. She was waiting for a call. From the military."

Everyone exchanges looks of confusion.

Skylar (concerned): "The military? Why?"

Douglas (nodding solemnly): "It's her brother. Colonel William Lennox."

Everyone looks surprised.

Kaz (raising an eyebrow): "Wait, what? Diana has a brother?"

Oliver (even more shocked): "And her brother's in the military?"

Douglas (nodding): "Not just in the military. He's a decorated officer. He's currently in Centium City hospital, injured during a mission last night. That's why Diana rushed out. He's really important to her. They're inseparable."

Bree (softly): "She never mentioned him. Not once."

Douglas (shrugging): "They're close, but Diana's never been one to share much. I've known Lennox for a while. I met him when I worked with the government. I know how much he cares for her. Diana used to serve alongside him. She was an Army Ranger before she joined the Elite Force."

Chase (taken aback): "Wait, Diana used to be in the army?"

Douglas (nodding): "Yeah. She didn't talk about it much, but she and her brother were practically a team. Truth is, Lennox didn't want to let her go when she joined us. But he knew this was what she needed to do."

Bree (reflecting): "I never had that kind of relationship with Adam or Chase. We argue all the time."

Kaz (grinning): "You argue with everyone all the time."

Bree (shooting him a look): "Not the point, Kaz."

Skylar (looking toward the door where Diana left): "She must be worried sick about him."

Douglas (nodding): "She is. Lennox is tough, but they're family. When something happens to him, it hits her hard."

Chase (thoughtful): "It makes sense now why she didn't say anything. She's used to handling things on her own, but maybe we can help."
