Go near her and I will kill you

Pae's POV 

Kai is really pissed. he is probably going to kill Kitt. 

we got picked up by imperials and taken back to the palace. Kai insisted that the first thing we do when we get back is to go see the healers to make sure me and the baby are fine. besides being a little dehydrated and needing some food me and the baby are ok. the healers told me I would be fine as long as I get extra rest and stay off of my feet for the next few days. 

Kai walked me back to our room after I ate something and drank a lot of water, I took a bath and changed my clothes. then he kissed my head, helped me into bed and told me he would be back before leaving. I know he is going to see Kitt. 

I am worried Kai is going to kill him and get in a lot of trouble.

Kai's POV 

I am so pissed. 

Kitt knew that Pae was pregnant and he still put her life and my babies life at risk like that. he has done so many things to her and I can't stand it anymore. first making her go through the trials again, then giving permission to his healers to give that bitch poison to attempt to kill Pae. I pieced that together, there is no way Charlotte could get poison from anyone else besides the healers and Kitt would have to approve before they could give her anything.  then he made her see whatever she did when she touched that damn dagger thing and finally making her do the damn trial today when she is pregnant and Owen very clearly said she can't do that. 

I barge into the throne room where Kitt is having a meeting with a few men from the court. I recognize a few of them. some supply food to the kingdom and some were  good friends of my father. "oh Kai, good to see you. we were just talking about you. how is that beautiful wife of yours?" Kitt says standing up to greet me. 

I am so pissed. I don't answer, I just walk up to him and punch him across the face so hard it makes my hand sting. imperials rush over to stop me but I stop them instead. "last time I checked you work for me not him!" I yell at them and they stop in place. "lay a hand on me and I will cut them off myself"

the imperials nod before slowly walking back to where they were. "Kai what is the meaning of this?" one of my fathers old friends asks. 

I ignore him and I look down at Kitt who is on his hands and knees spitting out blood from where I punched him. "What the hell?" he says standing up again. 

"you are lucky, because if anything would have happened to her or my child I would have killed you." I say coldly I punch him again and he falls to the floor. I grab onto his shirt and make him look at me. "go near her or my child ever again and I will make you wish you were never born." I tell him with gritted teeth before I punch him one last time making him fall on his back. 

my knuckles are split open and bleeding so I take a napkin off of the table Kitt was sitting at with the other men and I put it on my bleeding hand. "good day gentlemen" I say to the men and they nod to me with shocked faces as I walk out.

I go back to the bedroom and when I walk through the door Pae is asleep on the bed wrapped up in the blankets. I can't help the smile that comes to my face as I look at her. she looks so peaceful and she is okay. not hurt not dead, she is okay. 

I watch her for a few more seconds before going to the bathroom and washing the blood from my hands, both mine and Kitts. 

when I am done I climb into bed with Pae. she mumbles something I can't understand and snuggles up to my chest. I wrap my arms around her and hold my wife, my love, my Pae.
